# of Port Upgrades

Can we please post arguments as to whether the maximum number of port upgrades that count for the Port Score is 25 or 26? These silent forth-and-back edits are annoying, and very uninformative. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 06:28, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

The max upgrades is 26, make sure you have the upgrade on the bottom of each property list to get 26. 75.174.240.172 04:48, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

My own calculations, based off of the Player-owned port/Upgrades page: 3 points for Refitted to Refurbished bar, and +2 if you get either Nautical or Luxurious == 5 points for the bar. 3 office upgrades == 3 points for the office. 3 workshop upgrades == 3 points for the workshop. 3 points for Refitted to Daredevil lodgings, and +2 if you get either Nautical or Luxurious == 5 points for the lodgings. 3 points for Refitted to Nautical shipwright, and +2 if you get either Sleek or Luxurious == 5 points for the shipwright. 6 warehouse upgrades == 6 points for the warehouse. Total: 5+3+3+5+5+6 = 27 even.
Now comparing this with my own port: I have port score 24, with Luxurious bar (5), Refurbished office (3), Refurbished workshop (3), Nautical lodgings (5), Nautical shipwright (3) and Imperial warehouse (6) == 25?! I also swapped by Nautical lodgings for a Luxurious lodgings, and the port score in my Log remained unchanged.
Clearly something is not working correctly: I have seen nobody report a maximum port upgrades count of "27", and my own calculations for my count are off by one. I've asked a user that is new to pop to check their count (which was 4), and tell me which buildings he had. He had only upgraded his bar, warehouse, shipwright and office to the bamboo version. As such, the discrepancy is not in the early buildings, but perhaps in the later ones. There must be a single upgrade which does not count towards the port upgrade count. I have not figured out which one it is; but I'm leaning towards the Imperial warehouse.
Anyhow, all this rambling aside, here is PROOF that the maximum port score is 26; I got this by upgrading my Nautical shipwright to a Sleek shipwright, which was (as expected) +2 on the counter compared to my above calculations. I now have every building maxed.

TO that your port is glitched then, mine has no upgrades available(on everything) and it clearly states 25. There have been many glitches and your 26 must be one of them.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.30.119.5 (talk).

Further Experimental Evidence: I had a port score of 26, this included a Luxurious shipwright. I then changed the shipwright to a Warship shipwright. My port score immediately decreased to 25. De jour (talk) 18:56, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

07/01/14 Update

Immediately after the update my port upgrades score increased to 27 (from the previous max of 26) It appears Jagex have changed the scoring mechanism here. De jour (talk) 20:48, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
