To avoid an edit war, let's discuss this here. Power armour has stats 5 levels lower than tank armour. Hybrid armour has stats 15 levels lower than tank armour. This is power hybrid armour so it should have stats 20 levels lower than tank armour. Since it has stats equal to tier 70 tank armour, or tier 75 power armour it is therefor 70+20=75+15= tier 90.
- Tier 70 tank armour has 74 armour rating.
- Tier 75 power armour has 74 armour rating and 11 style bonus.
- Tier 85 hybrid tank armour has 74 armour rating.
- So it makes sense that tier 90 hybrid power armour has 74 armour rating and 11 style bonus.
Or put differently, it can't be tier 85 because it is better than tier 85 hybrid tank armour, because tier 85 hybrid tank armour has 74 armour rating and no style bonuses. The 85 Defence requirement also isn't a rule, just a guideline, there are other items where the tier and level requirement don't match. 00:36, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
I don't think we can say that hybrid power armor must have armor stat 20 levels below its tier because there are no other examples of power hybrid armor. Jagex may have only 3 types of armor in code, tank/hybrid/power, and an item must be assigned to only one of these (hybrid). --Jerry Fed (talk) 04:30, December 31, 2017 (UTC)
