Added a missing point that these can be obtained through woodcutting with a crystal hatchet on a crystal tree. See http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/forums.ws?16,17,853,65397772  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ken Tankrus (talk) on 16:32, November 12, 2014‎ (UTC).

This was only a plan, though. This functionality seems to not be in game at the moment so I edited the mention out. Thingummywut (talk) 16:18, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

Sounds fair in Cost/Exp but

It sounds fair in terms of cost per exp and the fact that this can afk well, but isn't it inconvinent to obtain these in bulk? The monk only has 5 his store. Puretppc (talk) 05:32, November 14, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, but it restocks very quickly. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 07:50, November 14, 2014 (UTC)

Daily xp wrong

The max xp assumes 12 hours of VOS, however should this not be 6 hours (there being 8 areas, 2 active at a time, so ~25% of the time VOS, not 50%)?

(Jammy Duel (talk) 13:38, January 5, 2015 (UTC))

It does say that it assumes that the VoS is active for 12 hours at the Hefin. However you're right it's highly unlikely if not impossible to have the VoS at the Hefin for 12 hours. Because what you stated combined with some of my calculations conclude: 8 areas + 2 active at a time = a 2/6 chance for both VoS together. It's 2/6 because the two previous VoS are not possible during the following hour of VoS. So it is actually: 2/6 chance * 24 hours = 8% of the time. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 14:01, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
I think the point of the paragraph is that given the highly unlikely (impossible) case that the Voice is as active as possible during a full day (once every other hour) this is the physical maximum amount of experience that can be earnt. Whether this information is at all useful is another matter; we don't calculate this for any other possible training method, and it's nigh impossible to do a full 24 hours training of a skill with full concentration for normal players/anyone. 12 hours is the maximum amount of hours in a day that the Voice can be active in a single district, so that is correct; but the calculations may be off after today's update (slightly increased experience). Point taken Jammy Duel (talk) 14:24, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
It's not quite as simple as that, supposing the "it cannot be the same place twice" is correct (which I believe it is) then you do have that if it is not active it's got a 2/6 chance of being active in the next hour, but you also have to remember that if it is active one hour it has a probability of 0 of being active the next hour. Logically, without running the calculations, for the reasons given above this will, in the long run, average out of 25% of the time, although later I shall run the calculations to check this if necessary. Even so, for it to be active half the day is an absolute maximum and, in theory, should, in thoery, happen a few times a year Jammy Duel (talk) 14:24, January 5, 2015 (UTC)

"as of February 2015 Bonus XP Weekends does work to increase the experience from cleansing crystals[1]."

Not true. I am currently using this method as I am posting this and I can confirm that experience is doubled on Double XP Weekends using this method.

The sentence you quoted, and the current state of the article state that experience is affected by the double XP weekend. I don't see an inconsistency. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 16:25, February 20, 2015 (UTC)

Fastest Prayer Training.

Should it also be noted that mass experience can be gained, although at a HIGHLY increased cost, by pre-stocking up on cleansing crystals and spamming the cleanse? With the voice of Seren and double exp it is 5040 per click which equals out to around 21.83 coins per xp.

Anyone who had deep pockets and wanted to train prayer as fast as possible would find this to be the quickest method. At 4 seconds for the animation between crystals one would train 4,500,000XP an hour at the cost of 99M coins (15 crystals a minute * 60 minutes * 110,000 per crystal).

White Flare (talk) 18:46, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

You don't even have to spam click when you've got the Tirannwn quiver 3(?) or higher. It'll automatically cleanse the next one, when you're done with the current one. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 19:45, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
The point White Flare was making is that you can spam them before you are done with the current one, thus getting XP faster. I'm currently getting 3,047 with voice and boosts for the first instalment, and theoretically could get 3,152, doubled to 6,304 on double xp weekends - 17.44 coins per XP is not a bad cost to gain XP at that rate. (7,564,800/h)
The drawback is that it would take a similar amount of time to buy the crystals. And of course it's not AFk like the Tirannwn quiver method.

Enlightenment Aura?

I just tried it with my enlightenment aura activated and got less xp?

I had the VoS and 2 first age pieces as well as bonus xp, so I normally got 23,990xp per stone, but this time I only got 23,756 xp. Is it a bug or does the aura cancel out some other xp boost?

While enlightenment is active, the standard bonus experience pool is frozen (you don't get 3x experience). A quick calculation suggests you're getting 102% bonus experience - 100% from enlightenment and 2% from first age gear - so enlightenment isn't doubling the bonus you'd get from first age gear (but the bonus experience pool does, giving 104% bonus). Don't forget to use perfect prayer/plus! Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 20:57, June 14, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, that explains it! 04ismailjj6 (talk) 22:24, June 14, 2015 (UTC)
