This talk page is for discussing the Daemonheim achievements page.

Gulega

To be quite frank you don't need a familiar to fight Gulega, I even did the task in question without it. So unless anyone has a problem with it, I will be taking that "(R)" out. EngelNacht (talk) 18:58, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

Well, how effective are they against him now? If they can still do a significant amount of damage like before, you should leave that in there. MolMan 19:00, September 12, 2013 (UTC)
It does standard familiar damage opposed to increased damage and drained defence as far as I can tell. It was under "Items Needed" section as well along with in the "Notes" section as well, just a btw. EngelNacht (talk) 19:03, September 12, 2013 (UTC)
Alright. If familiars aren't as OP as they were before, it's fine that you removed it. MolMan 19:05, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

I want it all

What's the deal with the beast mode thing? I've killed everything in every room and gathered all resources (picked plants, chopped trees, mined rocks, fished, collected wisps, open locked chests, etc). And still haven't been able to get this one.. Is there something I'm missing? D305 (talk) 20:25, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

I actually went through a small c6 and emptied every single room all resources and killed all monsters.. Cleared completely and didn't get beast mode.

My tip for getting beast mode is: use GUIDE MODE. Highlights critical path. Just gather all resources from JUST those rooms and good to go. Worked first try for me. Just thought some others may be having difficulties too. D305 (talk) 21:11, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

Did you kill the dinosaurs using weapons or a deadfall trap? I think you have to use a deadfall trap on them for it to work Template:Signatures/Ciphrius Kane 21:26, September 13, 2013 (UTC)
Yes the bovimastyx and other's count as huhnter resources so you have to trap them to get the title. 04ismailjj6 (talk) 22:14, September 13, 2013 (UTC)
Not sure if I had any in that dungeon that I used guide mode, but if I did, I did NOT trap or kill them.. The guide on the task page says only ore, logs, fish count as resources that need to be gathered. D305 (talk) 15:45, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
You have to deplete every resource, and dinos are a hunter resource. You have to hunt/kill them (both work). Chances are you skipped something on the crit path somewhere, it's why you didn't get Beast mode title. And "every resource" means also farming ones, divination wisps, etc. 5-x Talk 16:22, September 15, 2013 (UTC)
I did not do the divination wisps and still got beast mode; I remember that quite clearly. Could've changed since I did the challenge, I suppose, but it wasn't necessary when the set was released. Sorator (talk) 01:35, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

'Pass the Port' task

I've noticed it says in the extra notes that it won't activate without the 86 Divination. Unless this was a hidden update that is false, as I did it on release with 83 and potted up with a strong gatherers potion. If someone could provide any information on it saying that it'd be appreciated, otherwise I will be editing that out. EngelNacht (talk) 09:26, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

Maybe it should be specified that your current Divination level needs to be 86 or up, or the Portent won't activate. Implying you might need to re-pot after creating it. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 10:33, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

mmm Maybe you need at least 80 to be able to harvest wisps (because u can make strong gatherers potion to get 80+ div, but i dont think that will help you to harvest if you are below lvl 80) 186.137.35.38 01:53, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

I did it at 76 Divination, the Strong Gathers potion allowed me to both harvest and create.Eifangor (talk) 02:05, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

It is very possible to see the wisps below level 80, i was getting them throughout doing the lower level tasks so that certainly isnt the issue. I imagine the original problem quote was simply badly worded, i should achieve 76 div today so i will post back with results so we can put this to rest if it still works. Jag272 (talk) 08:40, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

I'll post this seperately to avoid confusion. Just completed the task and here is what true and what isnt as of today. Level 86 is boostable and required to create the portent itself and ofcourse level 80 boostable for the wisp. The portent triggered while i was at 84/76 Divination so the level at activation time appears to be irrelevant. The level is only needed to create the portent itself and 80 to gather from the wisp. That should clear things up, let me know if i missed anything Jag272 (talk) 12:41, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

Unleash your Inner Thok

For the Hard Tasks / Daemonheim Aura 3, the first reward says: the backhand ability will unleash your Inner Thok. What does that mean, unleash your Inner Thok?

96.53.232.229 02:12, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

This unlocks a headbutt animation replacement for the Backhand ability while wearing the daemonheim aura 3/4. PlatSilver (talk) 12:58, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

DUMB REFERENCES

What is it with all the references at the bottom of the page? It's so annoying, worse than misspelling words.

The wanderer is a reference to Gandalf: No, it's a play on the word 'wand', if anything it's a reference to the song 'The wanderer' by the beach boys.

Dere-licked is a reference to Zoolander: No way, it's a pun, derelict is a rundown, barren or empty building. This 'reference' is possibly the most ridiculous.

300 is a reference to 300: possibly but it's so tenuous as to be pointless.

You're not the boss of me' has been a phrase used for over 70 years, not necessarily anything to do with Malcolm in the middle but possible.

Epic epic is very probably nothing to do with Scott pilgrim, an epic or saga is a very long story, given you need to complete all the sagas jagex just wanted to convey the length of the task. If they had said 'Epic epic of epicness' then I would concede it's about Scott pilgrim.

So can we stop posting stupid inane and obtuse references to pop culture, I know a lot kids post on wiki but they are dumbing down everyone else with this crap.

That's exactly what a trivia is for...

Totem Pole Position Task

The guide says you have to hand in 20 totems, I just completed the task by handing in 20 ores. I don't have the time to adjust this on the wiki, but maybe someone else does?

Thanks and have a great day :)  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.18.201.57 (talk) on 17:46.
