Metalic Dragons

They hit as well on metals as on chromatics - max is 662 in Kuradal's. Page has been edited to reflect this--Invisi 00:56, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
- Did you take into account that in Kuradal's dungeon you can hit +40? I'm not even max stats and I hit 670+ against chromatics, where I can't even hit 600 against metals (not in Kuradal's, just to be clear). However, I'm not certain if there has been a recent hidden update on this, which is possible, but before there was definitely a significant damage bonus between the two dragon types. Also is your max hit the same against both dragon types? I'll test this myself soon; I'm quite certain that the damage bonus reacts differently between the dragon types - January 5, 2012
I'll be sure to pay attention next time I get a blues task. Right now I can't say for certain, but I don't think I've hit over 660 on previous blue tasks, or 610 on previous black tasks --Invisi 08:05, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Required Crossbow
What type of crossbow is required? I would assume Rune or better, but I'd rather not post something unconfimred. -- TechpriestMagos 01:32, November 18, 2011 (UTC)
Do these work on skele wyverns?
The Skill Menu doesn't say, but if memory serves, you are correct on say Rune or better.
Although Wyverns are technically a dragon, these creatures are undead. Also, the dragonbane bolts would not be a wise choice down to wyverns having a fantastic ranged defence. Sorry I can't tell you anything better.

Frost Dragons
Initially these did no extra damage against frost dragons. I distinctly remember in the patch notes a few months later saying "dragonbane bolts now work correctly against frost dragons". However, my friend did a test run recently and found they were once again bugged. I intend to test this for myself soon.
I'm pretty sure the current description is wrong. Dpm is quite luck based; the best way to properly test would be to obtain a max hitsplat with both mithril and dragonbane bolts. I'll see if I can do this too. Invisi 01:10, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
Right, after testing I'm pretty sure that they have no effect on frosts. Interestingly, I also discovered during my testing that they have no effect on POH dragons either. --Invisi 08:08, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Wrong smithing req?
All over this wiki it says 82 smithing to go from bar to unf bolt. However, the actual req is 80. Can someone fix this or either help me fix the pages on which it's mentioned? 91.177.145.56 21:13, October 9, 2012 (UTC)

Dragonbane Bolts in EoC
Are they worth it? Is the accuracy boost still there, and is the damage boost still applied to abilities? If so, are these two factors enough to make them superior to royal bolts (against dragons)? CyrithRS (talk) 04:39, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

- Yeah, definitely. Since the bolts won't know I'm fighting a dragon when looking at my equipment stats, it'll assumably just show the basic stats when fighting non-dragons, so an objective look at the difference between dragonbane and royal bolts, for example, won't really work. ava alerter dont work in legacy ?
qbd is my favourite boss and i tried to kill it in every possible way with every gear possible....atm im killing it with full pernix with royal cbow and dragonbane bolts. I found out that using legacy mode, ava alerter actually wont pick up bolts for some reason.... i was going to test it in rs3 mode but i really hate abilities so i didnt... i did few kills with abilities but i didnt pay attention to bolts usage. Anyway i recommend u guys use ring of life because its gonna save u lot of money, because dc-s and armour degradation....anyway pls test ava asap and reply here.
