This talk page is for discussing the Drygore mace page.

As the strongest 1h crush weapon in the game with the significant +9 prayer bonus, this is particularly useful in areas of limited resources of healing and restoration that make use of crush-style attacks. Notable examples include the fight cave and the fight kiln, where the drygore mace can be used in combination with an obsidian set including the kiteshield.

Accordingly, use of an offensive melee aura or scrimshaw can be used in place of a defensive one, such as vampyrism rather than penance, when used in combination with the drygore mace.

Drygore mace DPS[]

Contrary to popular belief, the Drygore mace does NOT have the exact same damage per second output as the rapier and longsword. Although the speed of the weapon is faster to compensate for the slight lack of offensive bonuses compared to the rapier and longsword, the Drygore mace still has a slightly lower DPS than the Drygore rapier or longsword. The difference in DPS is too negligible to notice under standard conditions (the rapier and longsword's DPS is about 2% higher), but the mace is still a bit weaker. My assertion that the Drygore mace is the third most powerful weapon in-game in terms of DPS is still technically correct, unless someone can prove my calculations wrong. I would be interested to see your calculations. How did you come up with your result of 2%? On a slightly related topic, I have done some testing with maces and abilities to determine whether or not the maces are comparable in EoC. For the following tests, I was wearing a quest cape, amulet of fury, and sixth-age circuit. Numbers listed are critical strikes on a training dummy at the combat academy. Dummy selection was range->none->weaker. My combat stats at the time of testing were 92 attack, 97 strength, 92 defence, 87 range, 95 prayer, 90 mage, 96 constitution. No boosts were used.
MHR + OHR MHR + OHM MHM + OHM
Slice 1821 1825, 1843, 1870 1803, 1828, 1826
Punish 1510, 1484, 1498 1489 1459
Decimate 1860, 1857 1848, 1830 1887
Dismember DOT 301 301 300
These numbers, while not conclusive, are indicative of appropriate compensation being applied to both the main-hand mace and off-hand mace to align their ability-based DPS with that of the longswords and rapiers. I am guessing that the discrepancy found in the dismember DOT damage is based on a rounding error. It is, of course, also quite possible that the discrepancy is due to the 2% difference you were hypothesizing. My only problem with that would be that 2% of 300 is 6, not 1. Thoughts? Just a random thought... but does the speed of the weapon matter at all for DPS when you are purely using Abilities? In my experience Abilities don't take longer to perform or reload with slower weapons... And I doubt many people use Momentum. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 06:34, June 5, 2013 (UTC)
That's essentially what I'm trying to figure out with this testing. The Drygore maces are faster than either the rapiers or the longswords. Thriondil (talk) 15:36, June 5, 2013 (UTC)

Armor stand repair cost change[]

This item now has repair pricing reduction like other repairable items after an update on January 14th. The cost is reduced by 1% for every 2 Smithing levels.

This is proof of that change, in a repair done today, at 90 Smithing. ArtemisDusk (talk) 22:27, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

Drygore Mace DPS[]

The damage of the drygore mace set was fractionally lower (<0.5%) than rapiers and longswords.  This is now no longer true.  This can be seen easiest via the damage from slaughter.  All the drygore weapons sets have equal damage per time.  Inidently, an update on 11/3/2014 made the damage of fastest dual wields the same the slowest 2h weapons with damage modifiers like power armour/amulets/rings.
