I have been using ashes at the ectofuntus and at one point I realized that I wasn't alerted to hitting the cap yet and when I collected the tokens I collected over 700 at once, hidden update?[[Special:Contributions/68.35.69.217|68.35.69.217]] 21:01, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

This talk page is for discussing the Ectofuntus page.

Multiple bones at the same time

Can't seem to confirm the supposed ability to do multiple bones at once in manual mode - tells me I already have bones in the hopper. Can anyone confirm this works? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.114.77.254 (talk) on 19:11, 15 April 2011 (UTC).

As far as I know it's one at a time, meaning you have to grind and empty before putting in new ones, I used the ectofuntus a lot, but I haven't played for a while, so it might have changed. My contributionsTHARKON 11:13, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Morytania legs

This needs some updating I think, I didn't find anything about the Morytania legs and that's a way to teleport to the slime area below ectofuntus. I don't know how to edit or I would have done so myself. Anyway, Morytania legs 2 came out with the Morytania Tasks. Completing the easy and medium tasks awards the said piece of clothing/armour. That then allows for teleport to the slime area, which is a very easy way of access.

Good point, unknown user!! Good of you to note an edit despite not knowing how to make it, makes other editors aware of needed edits. I use the Morytania legs daily (im training prayer from 71 to 95, im 92 at moment!!), I could do this edit tonight. --Mike-south 18:52, June 2, 2012 (UTC)

Fast banking teleport

I'm curious why listing the ring of kinship as an additional fast teleport method for people to use during daily collection of slime is viewed as an "unnecessary addition."  Is this based on the assumption that all players know about the ring of kinship, and therefore it's something that can go without saying?  Or something else?

Thanks!

Also, query: this sentence was added to the daily method, and the grammar doesn't seem right:

"Remember to have one empty inventory slot to allow for exchanging between the familiar."

Between the familiar and what?

Thanks!

It's kind of unnecessary to add that because we are leaving the teleportation method to the discretion of the player. While the ring of kinship does teleport to near a bank, it uses up quite alot of time in teleporting as compared to, say, a ring of duelling, which is cheap and puts you much closer to the bank.
I think that statement means exchanging with the familiar and inventory. Hope this helped. Alchez 13:02, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
I removed the ring of kinship part because its mentioned in other parts of the article and it's impractical to list every fast teleportation method.

Hrm.  The sentence might prove to be confusing to some players, especially those who have not used beast of burden familiars before.  (One would hope they would avail themselves of the link in the text and figure that out, but....)

I also think that in that case, if we are leaving it up to the player to decide which fast teleport method to use, then there shouldn't be any listed (currently listed: Tokkul-Zo).  The difference between the Tokkul-Zo and the ring of kinship, of course, is the one is available to all players with no requirements (other than traveling once to daemonheim via alternate methods) and the other is available only to players who have completed the Elder Kiln quest (and must be charged as well, even though teleporting with it doesn't use up any charges, requiring tokkul which can only be obtained within TzHaar City).  Perhaps an edit to "the fast bank teleport method of your choice" or something similar?

Thanks!

That's just an example method. A sentence sounds better as "and a Tokkul Zo, or another fast banking teleport" than "a fast banking teleport method (like a Tokkul-Zo)", in my opinion. Alchez 13:23, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
I still think it would be better to specify an easier one to obtain as an example, if one is going to be specified at all. I'm high level, but I still haven't completed the Elder Kiln quest (stuck on the final waves battle).  Or, like my previous suggestion, not specifying one at all and simply stating "method of your choice" instead.  Or we could add a page listing all fast teleportation methods (just did a search and came up empty on the wiki aside from the list of items on the teleportation page which isn't specific as to which ones teleport close to a bank, but could serve I suppose) and link to it in this section.  Just a thought.

Fastest method

It's been awhile since the topic was originally posted, though it appears that the content in question has not changed. The article still states that 'the new manual method is faster than either', yet provides no further explanation on why/how this is possible, when one can still only process 1 bone at a time. The only ectofuntus related functions of the morytania legs, even up through tier 4, is providing 5 daily teleports to the ectopool(which is granted initially with the legs 2). If someone can please clarify how clicking 3 times per bone is faster than 1 click for the whole inventory, I think everyone who viewed the article would appreciate it.
