Armadyl battlestaff[]
Should the Armadyl Battlestaff be added to this page since it provides unlimited air runes? AHHGetAwayRawr (talk) 13:16, September 23, 2013 (UTC)
- I'd say no; while I may provide air runes, it is not really "elemental". IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 14:01, September 23, 2013 (UTC)
- I do think it deserves at least honorary mention :3 I wonder what doesn't make it Elemental though. . . . Yours, Enquidou Talk . . 17:41, September 23, 2013 (UTC)
- Elemental staves refer to staves of a specific element or combination thereof. An Armadyl battlestaff is just a high level battlestaff that happens to have a buff of providing unlimited air runes. If the Armadyl battlestaff is worth mentioning, all Dungeoneering staves that provide free elemental runes should be mentioned as well, and all that feels far out of the scope of this article. - None of the dungeoneering staffs are mentioned here to begin with. There has always been a clear separation between the main world and the within-dungeoneering world. I would be very okay with adding another table showing the daemonheim elemental staffs as well as the staffs that profide all elements.. I don't see why they don't deserve that name either. I see elemental staffs as staffs with an extra. Some have a higher tier and something extra, some have a higher tier and two extra things (like the lava battlestaff). And I see no reason to not add the Armadyl battlestaff to that, it just has a different extra little something than the others. The lava battle staff was the first odd elemental staff and that still got added. I see no reason to exclude the Arma staff :-/ . . . Yours, Enquidou Talk . . 20:47, September 23, 2013 (UTC)

- If the dungeoneering staffs were added, the page would become quite a bit larger. However, going back to the Armadyl Battlestaff, if one has it with them (This is necessary) when they talk to Thormac about making a Mystic battlestaff, there is a dialoge option to talk about the Armadyl battlestaff. He says "I don't know where you got this, but it already has plenty of mystic power flowing through it. I don't think I can make it anymore mystical." 04:06, September 24, 2013 (UTC)
- If it isn't noted anywhere yet, this seems like an interesting tibit for the Armadyl battlestaff's or Thormac's page. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:36, September 24, 2013 (UTC)
- Are you saying anything that is either a Mystic staff or something that can be upgraded to a mystic staff would qualify to be classed as an Elemental staff..?? Otherwise, I would only say I agree with IP83, that this is interesting trivia for the Armadyl battlestaff page, but that it doesn't help with this discussion :P Also... I don't think it's a bad thing to make a page bigger... not in principle and not in this case -- both for Arma as dunge staffs. . . . Yours, Enquidou Talk . . 06:09, September 24, 2013 (UTC)

- The lava battlestaff is still a simple combination of two elemental runes; I do not categorise it the same as the Armadyl battlestaff. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:36, September 24, 2013 (UTC)
- I also don't categorize it the same, but I still think it belongs to the Elemental family because... it provides an infinite amout of at least one elemental rune. Like the article says: "Elemental staves provide an infinite amount of one or two of the basic elemental runes: air, water, earth, and fire.". I can only agree and add Arma and a sperate table for dunge staffs :P . . . Yours, Enquidou Talk . . 06:09, September 24, 2013 (UTC)
