"This raises the user's defence while they shout "For Camelot!""

How much does the Excalibur raise your defence, then? http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/5128/10finga0.gifPlay 15:46, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Supposedly it raises defence by 8. If any of you can confirm that, I'll add it to this page. The Enhanced excalibur has a much better bonus. :) --D E E J E 15:35, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Well... my def is raised by 8, personally... and I'm level 81 def.--Quest point cape detail Brux Talk 20:48, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Mine is also boosted by 8, and my defense level is 62.--74.176.209.241 15:23, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Icon

I still have the old icon image for Excalibur... I DID get it before they changed the image, but I don't see why my image wouldn't change? Eh, w/e, I like the old grey one anyway =P --User:Lil diriz 77/Signatures 04:13, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I have it too, when i reported it in bug section Jagex has responded that's imposiblr O.o

I was wondering the same thing. My Excalibur is gray and odd looking. nothing like the one shown here. This one looks more like the Fremennik blade.Quest point capeSk8r dan man Quests 06:51, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Similarity to Final Fantasy.

Is it worth putting this into trivia.

Excalibur having the same stats as an Adamantite Longsword may be a reference to Final Fantasy due to Adamantite being the ore you need to make Excalibur on Final Fantasy. Baptiejames 15:32, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

Trivia Correction

The trivia section mentions that Excalibur is 'the sword of ice' and the sword Clarent - which as far as I know is mentioned in only a single Middle English poem and is as such of debatable canonicity in itself - as a 'sword of fire'. The elemental attributes seem to have root in neither game canon nor actual mythology (could it have been a case of vandalism?) and as such I'm removing that piece of trivia.

Edit: I removed another piece of trivia as well. It mentioned Arthur pulling Excalibur from the stone; as a matter of fact, in most versions of the myth that was a different sword altogether.

Special Attack

So, does the normal sword (unenhanced version) special heal your life points or not? It says it increases your defence level, but it says nothing about healing life points. Dragon claw Candle Max Dragon platebody 10:28, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

would like support in the fact that enchanted excel sense some people need prof over something so trivial it was used in wild for self defense and healing agilty period for healing and other course this is a part of rs history people should recall doing this or doing it them selfs

ps you really should try to work with people more just deling crap over such immature things really makes people turn away to your site or I mean it's triva it isn't the main part I just wanted to state that people used to to heal while doing agility

First off, your writing makes no sense. Secondly, saying that people used an item isn't relevant at all. It almost sounds ludicrous that you'd want to explicitly confirm people used an item. It's not relevant and does nothing except clog the page with useless fillar. If not having a little "fact" added drives you off, you have other issues to deal with. MolMan 03:35, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

it actually does have relevant sense it was a commonly used method at the time just because you haven't herd of it doesn't mean that isn't true plz at least give it a chance to get looked over if it doesn't I'll leave it like I said work with people al ittle the fact I put this topic shows i'm trying  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.142.183.26 (talk) on 03:53, November 16, 2014 (UTC).
