Update fix after the quest was added[]

Shortly after the quest was updated into the game (about 20-30mins) jagex implemented another system update; (probably to fix something they missed) does anyone know what exactly they fixed?Green Mage48 (talk) 14:46, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Around the world gate I heard some people complaining about gravestone problems after dying on the dangerous Freneskae world. It also looks like there was a Solomon's update so maybe there was some deal with that. RJ815 (talk) 14:59, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

75k xp lamps[]

You can obtain 3x 75k xp from a three-use lamp obtained by talking to Azzanadra after the quest. 49.187.19.134 16:56, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

The teleport is obtained by speaking to the Guthixian High Druid at Guthix's shrine. It allows you to teleport to the World Gate using the Sixth-Age Circuit. 49.187.19.134 17:01, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Finally, the large prismatic lamp is obtained by talking to Ali the Wise/Wahisietel at his house at the north end of Nardah. 49.187.19.134 17:07, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

I messed up the edit on my iPad...somebody add that you get a large prismatic lamp from Wahistiel after the quest  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chaos67rune (talk) on 17:59, March 24, 2014 (UTC).

Hidden Bonus: Divination?[]

Engrameter, used a charged 1 with 500 memories in Freneskae, it becomes "distorted". I got a memory at the Mah chamber. Got 25k bonus divination xp.

Yup, this is true. You need to charge it up and then operate it within Freneskae and you gfet 25k divination exp. I added it to the reward section but it has been removed for some reason. Djpailo (talk) 20:55, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Seems you also get 7.5 XP per Mah memory wisp you extract.--Deltaslug (talk) 18:12, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

You can use the engrammeter right after entering through the World Gate for the same result. Having the Distorted version of it on hand also seems to reduce lighting damage and possibly some other environmental damage too. RJ815 (talk) 18:45, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Sooo...can you complete this quest without the doing the quest for the Enngrameter, then come back and claim the bonus once you have? IIRC the requirements to get the Enngrameter are pretty steep. 141.0.8.139 00:03, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

It is likely that you can, as it appears the extra rewards for The World Wakes and Fate of the Gods should be obtainable even if you only fulfill full completion requirements later. RJ815 (talk) 01:10, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. My main concern is that the location isn't accessible after the quest - can you get back to Freneskae after the quest, and continue to use the Engrammeter? I think that would be the main thing preventing one from getting this reward. Someone who completed the quest can't give a 100% answer on this, but if they can get back there and use it then that's about 95% in my book. 141.0.8.139 23:54, March 25, 2014 (UTC)
There is nothing preventing you from going back to Freneskae or recovering the Engrammeter after the quest, and in fact there are certain things only accessible AFTER the quest (some of the memoriam crystals, for example). In addition, Freneskae appears to house Muspah that you can fight post-quest similar to Glacors after Ritual of the Mahjarrat and Automatons after The World Wakes. If that's not enough evidence for you, you can even get a World Gate (which currently only takes you to Freneskae) teleport added to your Sixth Age Circuit to make it even easier to get back there. For the foreseeable future, I don't think you have to worry about not being able to get back there. RJ815 (talk) 00:58, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Memoriam Crystal Locations?[]

1) South East Corner from Mah divination rift (near Corrupt/Dark sphere) - Zaros

2) Near Mah/Muspah (The Cradle) - Zaros

3) After Nihil location, at doorway leading to Mah's Ledge (The Pit) - Zaros

4) Sanctum, near puzzle door - Zaros

5) Squeeze thru crevice near entry way to Sanctum, crystal in cave - Zaros

6) At final stage, turn east at fork, after geyser vents - Zaros

7) End of path just north of World Gate on Freneskae - Zaros

8) After first ledge, south pass, past string of volcanic vents, climb ledge, just past another vent - Zaros

9) Just before first healing crystal cover - Zaros

10) After first heal crystal, cross first step stone, climb cliffside, turn east. Drop down ledge. On this platform is 1 crystal. - Zaros

11) After first heal crystal, cross step stone, climb cliff, turn east, north, across overhanging ledge, climb down cliff. Turn north from ledge, crystal will be in open. - Zaros.

12) After second healing crystal, travel southwest through passage with vents. - Zaros

13-16) After second healing crystal, and long pass or shortcut thru Vents, path will fork north to ledg (quest) and south-east to Rockbridge. Cross rock bridge. Puzzle will require tagging Crystal Pillars 20 times to unlock each of the 4 Memory Crystals. - Seren Note: This will require enduring multiple lightning stikes to tag Pillars, vents near seren crystals. Bring food and/or familiar.

These are the correct locations, but the order in which they are listed does not correspond to the Crystal Number. Let's begin straightening it out:

No.4) After first heal crystal, cross first step stone, climb cliffside, turn east. Drop down ledge. On this platform is 1 crystal. - Zaro

No.9) End of path just north of World Gate on Freneskae - Zaros

Nos.13-16) After second healing crystal, and long pass or shortcut thru Vents, path will fork north to ledg (quest) and south-east to Rockbridge. Cross rock bridge. Puzzle will require tagging Crystal Pillars 20 times to unlock each of the 4 Memory Crystals. Seren Note: This will require enduring multiple lightning stikes to tag Pillars, vents near seren crystals. Bring food and/or familiar.

Elder Halls Fractured Orbs[]

Anyone know anything about these, like if they are possible to repair? They seem related to the main elements like fire, earth, etc. RJ815 (talk) 22:31, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, it seems like they might have something to do with the Elder Chronicles you can get with the Measure after the quest. RJ815 (talk) 23:27, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Best guess is they're each to do with one of the Elder Gods, of course, the one that seems most familiar (the one that when you inspect gives something like "surely it can't be...") will be Jas. I expect that this will be touched upon more when the quest comes out with Gielinors Hall of the Elders. Jammy Duel (talk) 23:26, March 24, 2014 (UTC)
The tie with the Elder chronicles is likely as simple as they are both relating to the Elder Gods and nothing more, obviously there only being 4 Elder Chronicles because only 4 of the 5 made it to Gielinor, and presumably each of the 4 locations is significant somehow to the respective Gods, for the TzHaar one the connection is obvious, for the other three, less so (to me at least) Jammy Duel (talk) 23:36, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

I think they actually contained the elder gods. The quest seems to suggest that freneskae is where the elder gods originated (or slept) and Mah is referred to as being "stillborn" and left there. Since all the elder gods were here and Mah was abandoned this also suggests that Freneskae may have also been the first world they created (or may have existed before). While when talking about the dragonkin he says that it's likely their world was destroyed soon after the elder gods left Freneskae, Zaros also refers to a "cycle" which I think suggests that something came before. And with another elder hall on Geilinor perhapes the orbs are where the elder gods rest. They each  have unique properties (one looks like the stone of Jas for Jas, one is referred to as being "earthy" for Ful), so there is definitely one orb for each god. Zaros also says that Mah is the way she is due to the weak anima of Freneskae not being enough to nourish all 5 gods (resulting in Mah being "malformed") , so perhaps they rest there. Time[]

It says 2-4 hours to complete, now fair enough I had pre charged the gate, but I had it all done in less than an hour and a half, and that's listening to everything and being a bit of a content tourist as I went, a player rushing it could easily do it in 45 mins, and one could probably, without too much difficulty,  hit sub 30 times, so if anything it should be given as 1-2, 1-3 at a push. Jammy Duel (talk) 23:24, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

It took me about 3 hours to complete. I listened to everything during the quest, explored a bit, and had some trouble with the enemy encounters. Took me forever to beat the Nihils (mainly because I was trying to avoid following a guide; even when I followed a guide it took me a couple more tries). The Muspah weren't a problem for me; I died once but only because I didn't restock after the Nihils. If you follow a guide it may be easier (dunno if you did or not), but not following a guide definitely takes much longer (and yes I did pre charge the gate). Sliske's reward[]

Visiting citadel's throne room does nothing for me. Is shadow sword miniquest really the only requirement? I haven't done Ritual of the Mahjarat 81.198.49.29 03:52, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Have you stood directly in front of the throne then left? For Sliske to appear you must stand directly near the thrown before leaving; and yes, the only requirement is the Generals Shadow. --Summoning-icon Draco Hunter-icon 04:34, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Can Sliske's reward be used to see ghost penguins without a ring? Vishalb777 (talk) 03:50, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
It should be. The quest's FAQs mentions that Sliske's gift is/was bugged, blocking the player from viewing into the shadow realm, and that they would fix it prior to anyone losing out on their weekly ghost penguin. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:08, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
After that FAQ was released, I found the ghost penguin. I could see it both with and without the ring (and I got Sliske's gift), so they can be seen. Nothing special here. (talk) 18:58, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
Cannot get Sliske to show up.  Full quest points, brought all potential quest items to Citadel throne room, etc.  Have not collected all the fragments or accessed Annihilator though.  What am I missing?  I tested the Vizzy ring and without on the secret ladder Northeast of Ardy, and it seems I can't see the Shadow without it... 64.203.209.7 00:56, April 3, 2014 (UTC)
You cann't see into the Shadow realm before you actually had the full conversation with Sliske. To make him show up, run into the central room, and stand directly in front of Sliske's chair/the podium. Then run back out of the room. About half-way out, Sliske should intervene. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 04:21, April 3, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks info, may help others.  Just not working for me.  A few hours wasted trying.  I'll just use the ring when necessary.  Sadface.  64.203.209.7 14:38, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Siding with Zaros[]

If you have consistently sided with Zaros

What does consistently siding with Zaros mean? Does it mean only for this quest and also for "Missing, Presumed Death?" Or does it only mean for when the player is talking with Sliske in the shadow realm?

Post quest bug?[]

I was playing around with the world gate thinking the control panel would be locked but I was able to change it to another location, I've tried four times to put in the correct M-A-H code and it keeps reading back to me "A vast ocean speckled with hundreds of small islands. One of which has a gleaming white tower upon it" Has anyone else had this problem? Jake (talk) 14:27, July 8, 2014 (UTC)

After legwork and a lot of range, the solution to the above problem is to leave the world gate on "F" and it will take you there every single time, source of solution is http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/sl=0/forums.ws?20,21,490,65334307 Jake (talk) 15:52, July 8, 2014 (UTC)

Nihil Bug fixes[]

There is a bug in which the Crystals will not open after killing all four. I sat there for about ten minutes trying to figure out how not to fight them again, then I tried home teleporting and the crystals opened for me. So that is a possible fix? I don't want to add unless I'm certain. and maybe tele'ing out completely will allow you to come back and not fight? it is just a thought on possible bug fixes lol
