Jagex has officially moved a whole list of quests into the past, which is probably going to require a reshuffle of the timeline on this page, because the events in all of those quests now have to take place before any of the events in quests that were not moved to the past. They have a list of quests on the forums, but don't really give new dates. However, the relationship between some events is fixed, which will have to be taken into account when correcting the timeline. Revision as of 14:39, 6 March 2013

This talk page is for discussing the Fifth Age page.

Years

So, is year 169 supposed to be 2007? Dragon medium helm! Whaddaya know?Chiafriend12Better than rune!I have 12 friends. 06:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

It said the same thing in the Knowledge Base a year ago, and I think in one of their sections before the Knowledge base, still that same year. File:Bowman hat.pngTarikochi 06:40, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Magic Paradox

If magic was discovered at the beginning of the Fifth age, why then was Third age armour created in the Third age (read the examine for a piece of Third age magic armour), to give humans boosts in magic attack and defence? It seems odd to me to have a powerful set of magic armour to have thousands of years before magic was even discovered humans. That'd be about the same as having a DVD player back in Moses times.--64supernoob 07:12, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Response

It might be a bit late to say this, but magic was not discovered in the Fifth age, Rune Essence was, enabling ordinry people to use it without (much) training.--Pig HouseInane Ramblings 15:40, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Images

I think this article could do with a few images. Otherwise, it is just a series of small paragraphs. If anyone thinks of any idea for any images, note them here and I'll either look around the wiki for applicable images, or look ingame for good images.

Factual correction

The last passage in the section "The Mahjarrat Threat" in the Year 169 reads as follows:

"Lucien also worked with Nomad, who was once loyal to him. However, Nomad became discontent with Lucien, and resigned to form the Soul Wars arena, where he gathers soul energy to defend himself from Lucien. Lucien sends assassins to defeat him, but though they all failed, Nomad is attacked by an adventurer, who nearly beats Nomad in combat. He survives and escapes, however, leaving Zimberfizz to manage Soul Wars."

In my study of runescape's lore and quests, I have not come upon any information that can verify this claim, which is also without reference in the pages for Nomad, Lucien, Soul Wars, Zimberfizzz, and Nomad's Requiem. Additionally, this passage lacks any reference that would identify it a leaked or as-of-yet-unrevealed-in-game information. As far as I can tell, this statement is only conjecture based on Nomad's previous similarities to Elite dark mages and the cutscene in Nomad's Requiem in which Nomad defeats 3 Elite dark NPCs.

If I am mistaken, please correct me, undo my deletion, and update this information in the pages I have noted as in disagreement with this information. If not, then my deletion of this section will stand.

I'd ask Morian Smith about it, since he knows a lot about RuneScape's history. --Iiii I I I 01:56, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Edgeville

I see one section about the Edgeville incident of 162, but then under the year 169 it says Edgeville was inhabited and given the name Edgeville. I'm guessing the part from 169 is because in Classic Edgeville used to be a ghost town, and the update when it became Edgeville probably said this stuff, since back then RuneScape's history probably wasn't finished. Anyways, I'm wondering if this part should be removed.RandomKing 07:33, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Zamorak and ardounge

In a least some way isn't ardounge a place of zamorak worship as well as saradomin?. The west section is filled with the evil elves that live there, whom worship zamorak. The king of ardounge himself is zamorakian and the city is filled with thieves and other potential followers of the chaos lord?

Chaos Temple in Wildy

I have an idea that the Chaos temple in the Wilderness follows Zamorak, as it is also known as the Zamorak Temple (check its page on this wiki) and it has a chaos altar similar to those found in other places of Zamorak Worship. As such, I think the image for fifth age religions at the top of the page should be updated and the Chaos Temple shaded red to represent Zamorak.

Also, how is it that Port Khazard is shown to follow Saradomin while the Fight Arena and Khazard part of the Battlefield is shown to follow Zamorak? As far as i know, Khazard was a Zamorakian Mahjarrat
