There was small debate between Psycho Robot and I about which age Zaros stepped upon Gielinor. I claim Zaros came during the first age while he claims Zaros came during the second age. 9,000years ago the first Mahjarrat ritual took part on Gielinor, Icthlarin only brought the Mahjarrat to Gielinor to fight Zaros. Therefore Zaros had to be on Gielinor over 9,000years ago. The article states "as it ended roughly 8,000 years ago", which means Zaros was on Gielinor before the 1st age ended. Guthix was asleep when Zaros came to Gielinor. So I think we should have a consensus to decide whether we keep claiming Guthix falling asleep is the event which ended the first age. Do you support the removal of the claim or do you oppose?

Consulting this page, here is a breakdown of the ages, assuming that the first year of the first age is year 0:
- First age: 0-4000
- Second age: 4000-6000
- Third age: 6000-10000
- Fourth age: 10000-12000
- Fifth age: 12000-12169 (current)
9000 years before the current year is year 3169, placing the event in the last thousand years of the first age, but that is assuming a great deal: first it assumes that the measurements of the length of each age is accurate, however it states in the article that the values given are only an estimate. It also assumes the measurement of 9000 years is also accurate, and not a rough estimate (where did you get this figure by the way?). This is how we know the first Mahjarrat ritual took place 9,000s years ago:
- There has currently been 17rituals – According to Zemouregal’s notes
- The 18th will happen this year. – Implied during the Shadow Sword miniquest
- Each ritual takes place every 500 years – According to Dr. Nabanik Postbag 41
- 500 x 18 = 9,000 – According to Maths Ich Bin Zaros 05:54, December 20, 2009 (UTC)
alright, that's pretty ironclad, so now the only thing that would save me if I found something that said guthix going to sleep was the point of transition... Creation?[]
The info at the runescape website says: "The world of RuneScape was created by the three gods Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix at the start of the First Age." ( http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/History_of_RuneScape )

I'll try to clarify this; the knowledge base is an all-player thing... Including the newests one. In the page you cited they says that in introduction: "This is a brief history of the world of RuneScape as taught to the ordinary citizens of the kingdom of Misthalin."
We, most of us here, are not ordinary citizens. Informations gathered on wikia are from adventurers who travel the world, got out of Misthalin and learned more about the world. Through quests and books read around the world we learned that; Guthix shaped the world alone. Saradomin was a human, probably arrived in the world in second age. Zamorak, a mahjarrat, became a god by the end of the second age by betraying the god Zaros... So we all know that Guthix created Gielinor alone, but Knowledge database is right too in the fact that it's what ordinary citizens of Misthalin takes as being the history... Tumeken[]
Alright, this somewhat leads off of what the first discussion was on. If the mahjarrat came into the world during the First Age via Icthalarin, that would mean Tumeken would have to had already arrived there, as Icthalarin is more or less a lesser god to Tumeken, the god of light. So, with that, one has to wonder when in the First Age did Tumeken arrive; it had to be sometime after Guthix & Seren, and before the Mahjarrat. That's the frame of time we're working with.
