The flowers don't look the same when equipped. Shouldn't they have separate articles? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.5.182.94 (talk).
- Support, I think they should have different articles since they're not the same item. HeadManiac 11:51, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
Links[]
Okay, the name of each flower is separately linked, but all links lead back to this page. Unnecessary.
Also for the record, voting against separate articles.

- In addition, the haphazard various tests done to estimate probability are, well, haphazard. Combine them all into one set of data, or just delete it completely. Cheese13562
False Stats[]
I gave a quick look on stats and there is clearly something false here... 500 and 1000-sample can exist (even if the 500-sample gave results of 502 flowers).
But the 380-sample have clearly something wrong.. So I made few maths and here's the result;
Red result cannot be exact; on a 380-sample, a % of 14,6% would result in 55,48 flowers... But if it was 55 then the % would have been of 14,47% (14,5% at most), and for 56 you would have 14,74% (14,7%) so 14,6% couldn't result from a 380 sample...
Same happen with Red-Blue-Yellow; on a 380-sample, a % of 13,8% would result in 52,44 flowers... But if it was 52 you would get 13,68% (13,7%) and at 53 it would lead you to 13,95% which can hardly become a 13,8%
Purple, Orange and Blue could be true if tester round up when it's not appropriate; 14.74% became a 14,8% (for Purple and Blue) and Orange's 17,11% became a 17,2% !!!
Pink-Purple-Blue and Yellow are plausible.
I will not talk about white and black flowers results... I don't see why someone who turn 0.79% into a 0.7% so I sugest to simply look at all others wrong parts to state that we should dismiss this test from the main page... Result given are probably fake and should not be used.
Pre GE price not relavent[]
The cost of flowere prior to the GE is totally irrelevent to this article as, regardless of whether you like it or not, the GE is not g oing anywhere.
If I go to this page, I just want to know how the item affects me now, not see someone moan about the price pre GE.
Keep the topic neutal would be a good thing.

- I find anecdotes such as that interesting. It makes me appreciate the game more to learn about the history. All I've known is the GE. However, such topics belong in the Trivia section. I'd hate to see the history tossed away on a whim because it doesn't suit people who are in a hurry. Warp9pnt9 04:24, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
Links to Blue and Red Flowers[]
The links for the Blue and Red flowers go to the Trouble Brewing Red and Blue flowers which is totally different from the wieldable flowers this article is covering. I attempted to edit the page to remove the link but Wikia has changed since the last time I edited an article so I had problems with trying to figure out how to edit. 68.111.212.171 19:19, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
more data:
sample size 500:
1x black
72x yellow
72x tricolor
81x red
56x tricolor pastel
75x orange
78x purple
I would suggest this be added to previous data
I will continue to keep track of future flower runs,
I do this to make money XD
Chance of particular colours[]
The chances of the particular colour don't add up to 100%, so at least some of them have to be false. Does anyone have any values we can work with, if I have some spare time I can try a few mithril seeds myself. Please post any data you have below this message and I'll see if we can get correct values in there. THARKON 00:02, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

I saw brown flowers, how?[[Special:Contributions/68.186.247.51|SagaHF 20:00, May 16, 2012 (UTC)]] 19:59, May 16, 2012 (UTC)
Hi, Does anyone know whether flower predictors actually work? Mr. Classic (talk) 16:51, September 5, 2012 (UTC)Mr. Classic @classic, no, they do not. Newguy298 (talk) 04:09, November 29, 2012 (UTC)
Additional Stats[]
As a preparation for bxpw I planted and picked 2000 mithril seeds, getting flowers for Praying mantis pouches. I received the following flowers, and not all my values match the stats on the page itself:
Orange | 306 | 15.3% |
Purple | 311 | 15.55% |
Yellow | 297 | 14.85% |
Pastel | 197 | 9.85% |
Blue | 309 | 15.45% |
RYB | 297 | 14.85% |
Red | 275 | 13.75% |
Black | 6 | 0.3% |
White | 2 | 0.1% |
Most notably, I've gotten much less Pastel coloured Flowers than the stats would suggest... 83.101.44.209 17:36, October 22, 2012 (UTC)
Updated with new information[]
I replaced the flower statistics with my collection that I got from almost 30k seeds. As others have pointed out it is clear that pastel is significantly more rare than the other "normal" flowers. I suspect the old statistics has been fabricated by a frosty flowers host to hide the fact that a "cold" flower is significantly more rare than a "hot". I don't believe that this was by accident since it was claimed that it was based on 7500 seeds and it is rediculously unlikely that pastel would appear as often as the other "normal" colours in such a large sample.
Removal of trivia[]
The trivia point of flowers being hosted for the Fally massacre annually is most certainly not 4-5 people. I have witnessed this event, and it is an interesting piece of history involving this item. Formal vote to reinstate it as relevant trivia?Newguy298 (talk) 04:12, November 29, 2012 (UTC)
Flowers as a money source[]
I have recently discovered that flowers can be used as a money source, here's how:
Mithril seeds cost about 143gp (Will only actually buy for around 200gp). Flowers sell for around 400gp, depending on the flower of course. With the new update, the colors aren't seen on the screen until the flowers are picked. Then they have the same colors as they used to. Some flowers sell quickly, some do not so this isn't a solid income, but it works. Zoozema0 (talk) 04:42, July 18, 2013 (UTC)
