First sentence

Why should we use that specific word in the first sentence? A large part (possibly majority) of our users have never heard that word used in such a way, and will not take it seriously. All that need be put instead is "Francis is a monk working as a gardener found on the holy island of Entrana, which is inhabited solely by monks who have dedicated their lives to Saradomin." to eliminate people's immaturity about it. Simple as that. Mining cape The Last Pun Talk Aberrant Spectre Champion 17:44, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

I don't see why we should dumb down our content because people might not get it. It's a serious term which is used in serious conversation quite frequently. We're not the simple English wikipedia: we use words like "vilify" and "corroboration", and nobody says we should take them out. We also use the word "erect" and people seem to get by without breaking into hysterical giggles. 17:47, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
It's not that people don't get it, really, it's more about our more immature users thinking of the other meaning. Yes, we use complicated words, but if people need to know what that means, they can go to dictionary.com and find the definition. This specific word, however, is slang for another thing. "Erect" is a word that most people know the definition of, and can understand it without thinking immaturely. "Cum", however, is a word that is not used in the correct definition by the majority of our user age group, and as I stated before, they will most likely think differently. I've never even heard of that word before; no harm in taking it out and replacing it. There could be harm in leaving it in though. (;

Honestly, many people viewing Rswiki are not of very high maturity level or very educated and I think it's stupid to use such an unknown definition for such a known word in such a place. Just my opinion on the matter. Godel 05:56, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Monks producing beer isn't odd?

"Oddly, though Entrana is a holy island, they grow hops, which are used in making beer." - Uhm... why is this odd? Pretty much all monastries in Europe used to do this and very few still do, it's called abbey beer? 82.204.79.98 14:30, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
