The god sword spec option:

Armadyl Godsword The Judgment Inflicts 25% more damage. (25% more damage than the most powerful weapon in the game??? Even more powerful than whip? In perspective, if its max is say... 40? It can spec a 50) ______________

Saradomin Godsword Healing Blade Inflicts normal damage, but restores half of the damage to your Hitpoints and a quarter to your Prayer. You will receive a minimum of 10 Hitpoints and 5 Prayer. (Who needs guthans or prayer pots anymore? Lol...) ______________

Bandos Godsword Warstrike Attack does 10% more damage and drains your opponent's combat statistics until they reach 0. Statistics are drained in the following order: Defence, Strength, Prayer, Attack, Magic, Ranged. ______________

Zamorak Godsword Ice Cleave Freezes your opponent for 20 seconds. (Can anyone say "whats the point in freezing with ancients then?" Now? lol) ______________

Hmm, evil dude, Do you realize that the game is copyrighted? Every image on the wiki that has been taken of items or places or anything in the game is, because of that, copyrighted as well. Are you planning on deleting the entire image database? Not to mention everything else? Information that has been taken from copyrighted sources need to have a recognition of that source (similar to a book report with a bibliography or works cited section). We could probably get by with saying "This image was taken off of the Jagex RuneScape Knowledge Database" or something and it would be just fine. Possible logic error

Anyone else wonder why they are fighting for the godsword, yet each of the body guards drop the shards, and the generals drop the hilt? I'm guessing it's because none of them have enough smithing skill. but if that were true then they wouldn't need to fight for it really.

They would have been fighting for the godsword in the first place, however while the dungeon was frozen perhaps the godsword blade was split into 4 pieces. We could then assume that they would be fighting to gain control of all the pieces, again assuming that at any single time the Generals are holding seperate pieces. This and the fact that mainly they are just fighting for their gods, and they do not know that the god wars have actually ended.

Getting the killcount for Nex

Alrighty, so there is a rumor going around that certain armor combinations will protect you from some of the monsters behind the frozen door. After testing several times, I've found (and seen) a few combos which work.

Protection against ancient warriors and ancient rangers that I've found:

  • Bandos chestplate, Bandos tassets, Neit, glory, Cls, dragon defender, Soul Wars cape, Barrows gloves, and circus shoes (though I don't think those count :P).
    • Interesting note: When I equipped my orb of oculus to watch the boss fight, I was mauled by the meleers and rangers for having unequipped my Cls and dragon defender.

Protection against ancient warriors and ancient rangers that I've seen but not tested:

  • Bandos chestplate, Bandos tassets, Neit, fury, whip, Dfs, fire cape, Barrows gloves, dragon boots.
  • Armadyl chestplate, Bandos tassets, Neit, glory, rune c'bow, spectral spirit shield, Ava's alerter, Barrows gloves, dragon boots.

Protection against ancient warriors and blood reavers that I've seen but not tested:

  • Karil's top, Karil's skirt, Neit, glory, Cr, spectral spirit shield, Soul Wars cape, Barrows gloves, Infinity boots.

Things that I've heard rumors about:

  • Overloads might protect you from the blood reavers.
  • The monsters might become unaggressive after 1 minute.
  • Torags supposedly works with the ancient meelers and ancient rangers.

Any more information on successful/unsuccessful tests will be appreciated. (:

  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 05:30, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
I think you should do the test with the first setup, and then (have a emergency tele ready) unequip and re-equip your armour one by one to see what armour piece actually triggers the attack. I think it has to do with the cls. If multiple things trigger the attacks, please also report that. If i would have got the key, i'd test it with other daemonheim equipment, but i killed 200 monsters and didn't get any key parts. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 23:45, January 11, 2011 (UTC)
I believe that it's not the combination of armour that makes the creatures unaggressive, but rather the defense bonuses that the armour provides (or so I've heard). I'm not sure exactly what the required bonuses are, but I'm currently wearing armour that provides protection against the warriors, rangers, and blood reavers (only the mages are aggressive). When you unequipped your dragon defender to wield the orb, your defence bonuses may have dropped below what is needed.  Tien  00:54, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
I've seen other people say that too, Tien, but how does that explain the guy I saw with proselyte? That doesn't have the best defense bonuses.. Hmm.
Joey, sorry to hear you weren't able to find key parts.. You know only the monsters inside the area hugging the boss doors drop them, right?
  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 01:02, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
Was the guy with proselyte armour protected? Was he wearing a good shield? If so, I'll head to the prison with just proselyte armour and test the defense bonuses theory.  Tien  01:12, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, he was protected from.. *thinks* reavers and warriors I believe.. I can't remember that or the shield, that's why I didn't list it above. What's your armor setup that protected you from the three?
  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 01:21, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
He may have had a rather high defence level. My tests have shown that there may be a correlation between the defence bonuses needed and your defense level, as I have found that equipping a dragon defender rather than a blessed spirit shield provides no protection at all, although according to Urbancowgurl777 I would still have high enough defense bonuses to be protected from rangers and warriors. 79.79.148.94 18:48, January 27, 2011 (UTC) Kyogre Blast

I was wearing Karil's top, Verac's skirt, Neitiznot helm, Soul wars cape, Barrows gloves, Dragon boots, Fury, and Blessed spirit shield to protect against everything but the mages.

Anyway, I did some quick tests with various types of body and leg armour. All armour outfits consisted of the same equipment mentioned above (except the body and leg armour, obviously) except where mentioned. Also, protection from mages was not included in this test, since they were being killed by other players. :s

  • Proselyte body and legs provided protection against warriors and rangers, not reavers.
  • Proselyte body and legs alone provided no protection whatsoever (so the defence bonuses theory could be valid).
  • Rune body and legs provided protection against warriors and rangers, not reavers.
  • Rune body and legs alone provided no protection whatsoever.
  • Dagon'hai body and legs provided no protection whatsoever.
  • Karil's body and legs provided protection against warriors and reavers, not rangers .
  • Karil's body and legs alone provided protection against reavers, not warriors or rangers.
  • Bandos body and legs provided protection against warriors and rangers, not reavers.
  • Bandos body and legs alone provided protection against rangers, not warriors or reavers.
  • Neither the ancient ceremonial top nor the boots offered any protection.
  • Ahrim's body and legs provided protection against reavers, not warriors or rangers.
  • Ahrim's body and legs alone Ran out of prayer before I could test

 Tien  02:08, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

Wow, excellent. (: I'm starting to believe the defense bonus theory, then. Thanks a lot. (: Just going to have to find out how to get good magic protection for the mages, then..
  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 02:15, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

New Info - A friend of mine has 80 defense, and had a basic setup that *should have* protected him from the rangers and warriors. It didn't. We found out that, once he used the Excalibur special, he was alright. After getting getting the defense levels from my clan that attended the event, I figure somewhere between 80 defense and 86 defense is where the monsters will become unaggressive with the correct defense bonuses.

  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 23:59, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
More Info - A friend of mine has 80 defense, and he used a set up that should protect him from the rangers and warriors and it worked. He had not used any potions or such to boost his defense level, so perhaps the levels needed extend to your range and magic defense provided by your range and magic levels as well. 79.79.178.132 18:47, January 18, 2011 (UTC) Kyogre Blast

  1. REDIRECT User:Urbancowgurl777/Signature 09:47, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

New Info - I have gotten level 75 defense recently, and I went to the Ancient Prison with Torag's platebody, Torag's platelegs, Helm of Nietiznot, Obsidian cape, Amulet of Glory, Braclet of Regeneration, Dragon Boots and Explorer's Ring 3. This setup protected me from the Ancient Warriors and the Ancient Rangers. It would seem that a combination of levels may be required for the protection, as well as high stat boosting armour. I am proceeding to test lower stat boosting armours. 79.79.148.175 15:17, January 22, 2011 (UTC) Kyogre Blast

Good news, I seem to have found the forumla and have tested my findings. I would appriciate it if others also tested my findings also. It seems that the agressiveness of the warriors/rangers is based on defensive armour bonuses and defence level. For Rangers its simple: Add current Defence level to your Ranged defence bonus (from armour) if that number is 300+ the rangers will not be agressive towards you. Similar for the warriors, but the average of the three melee styles is taken and rounded down from armour and then added with current Defence level. If that number is 300+ the warriors will not be agressive. I belive the number is 200 for reavers but still not certain on that, as my mage level was 91 and magic defence bonus was 99 for a total of 200+ and I couldnt drop that number further at the time. However I am confident that with 99 mage you need at least 91 mage defence to make the reavers unagressive and anything less than 91 magic defence would make them agressive. I hope others test my findings so we can confirm this. I hope this helps a lot!!! ^_^ Teh Chicken 22:53, January 28, 2011 (UTC)

I think that this most likely isn't quite right. I am 75 defense, yet I need to wear armour with a defense bonus of 300+ to achieve protection from the Warriors and Rangers (not achieved any protection against Reavers as of yet) so this makes me think that your theory cannot be correct. Likely it is a combination of defence levels and your armour, and it is also likely that lower defence bonuses are needed at higher defense levels, however I think that these numbers you have provided are likely not accurate. I appreciate that this is obviously just a theory at the moment, and I am merely contributing my (sort of) unique data, being one of the lower levels to visit the Ancient Prison at a combat level of 97. I hope that this information helps you ammend your theory. 79.71.96.244 19:22, February 10, 2011 (UTC) Kyogre Blast

Fighting the Ancient Mages in the Ancient Prison, I noticed when I had Deflect Magic activated, it used up more than one point every three seconds, as opposed to the regular areas of Runescape. Ashuelot Reis's dialogue and Sliske

Alright, so talking to Ashuelot Reis (the banker ghost in the Ancient Prison) apparently reveals alot of the backstory of Nex and the God Wars dungeon. Someone should rewrite some of the info on this page to better reflect that. You can find the dialogue on the Runescape forums in a thread called "The Sliske/Nex Conspiracy". Excuse me but I have noticed that there are at least two images on this page that likely were placed by some troll.  Somebody please replace the troll images with the correct ones.  I tried to check the history to see when those images were put in, but the history thing is confusing.  Find out who put those incorect pictures there and ban them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.134.150.91 (talk).

Demonslayer armour god protection

Hello,

Under chapter 3.3 God equipment Demonslayer armour is stated to protect against Saradomin's forces. I just entered the dungeon wearing demonslayer gloves as a means to protect myself from Saradomin's forces, to no avail. I do not have the means to buy the rest of the armour and investigate further, I just thought I would let you guys know.82.176.86.171 14:28, June 15, 2014 (UTC)

I tested to see if the Demonslayer armour give protection and can say they don't. I tested this by entering the God Wars Dungeon 8 times with protection towards Armadyl, Bandos and Zamorak and equiping 1 of the demon slayer armor pieces. I haven't tested it by equiping a full Demon Slayer equipment but I think it is safe to say it doesn't work. I will edit the table and the demon slayer armor page to protect those who are still beginners and will mostly likely get killed for wearing a unprotected item. Super Set??

Under section "Items" subsection "Recommended Items", it says "Super Sets" which has an irrelevant hyperlink.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.200.133.206 (talk).

Hi there, AnselaJonla changed that in this edit per your comment. Thanks! User:TyA/sig 08:01, June 16, 2018 (UTC)
