I filled in the lag section with something I read on a website a while ago - unfortunately, the website is no longer "up", since they could no longer pay their bills, but the Wikipedia article does appear to have a fair bit of relevant information as well. I don't think this would go in the category of "Glitches and errors" because it is not a RuneScape glitch (or error) it's a computer based thing that happens to some computers because of a slow internet connection or a computer that is too overwelmed by programs (slow)

I noticed that in a castle wars match with lots of players, there is almost always lag at the beggining inside the spawn.
NPOV[]
Could the article be less NPOV violating? 98.226.32.129 19:19, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
The animated gif[]
- To avoid an editing war, the animated gif doesn't illustrate lag. It is just a gif with a bad frame rate. I propose finding a better picture. Bttb333 19:39, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Must I say again, it does have lag. You can tell by the mouse. Just look at it one more time.
- Image:Lag.gif|This is lag.
- Notice the difference of timing between the mouse moving and when the arrows reach the opponent and display the hits. ShinyUnown T | C | E 19:43, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- My bad, disregard what I just said. I suck **** Bttb333 19:47, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

CPU Usage[]
The answers i got in the clan chats differ, but as i tested it, my answer would be yes, but still usnure. Is less CPU Usage more time for your PC to see the graphics and means more speed in RuneScape? Help is appreciated.-- Alex1496

- It helps you run the game faster and more fluently, and allows you to use more high end features in RuneScape such as a shadows, and flickering. Of course your other aspects of your system also come into play such as your RAM (Random Access Memory) and Video Card. You can have a top of the line CPU but only have 2GB of ram, and a very low end graphics card and run RuneScape horribly. But yeah, essentially the CPU helps you run RuneScape smoother and lets use more effects. Bttb333 15:56, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
- I have found that Directx mode/OpenGL uses more of your graphics time over CPU whereas Java is more CPU over Graphics Card, if you have a fast Graphics Card use OpenGL/Directx, if you have a fast CPU use Java. If you have both a fast CPU and Graphics card use anything Anti bones 18:10, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
Put this under CPU lag[]
Everytime when on f2p I usually lag massively because the add on the top, even though i can barely see it, reloads or plays taking up signifigant memory. I swear those ads are the worst. You can try to put the add on low detail and this will help you about 4%.
