Source of Leak Shouldn't it be required to post the source of the leak as well? I mean, if you post some leak, and people want to verify it is true, there should always be a place to check. With the first three on the list (Summoning, and the two Runecrafting ones), the info is included in parentases, but it's not included at all on the other two. Rework of GE

As from main page someone deleted it idk why prob it was wrong done(you can rework it not remove) on page [1] is screen of reworked GE which someone think it can come up with Clan Citadels update. Also there is screens which hints reworked trees on whole surface

Sailing skill

Why isn't the leak about the sailing skill added here, like it is on the Skills page?

Okay, the back of the cape is white, the trim is purple, and the shoulderpads appear to be DIRECTLY TAKEN FROM THE FLETCHING CAPE.

I think what happened is this image, as well as the Dragon pickaxe image, has been taken in the Work In Progress (WIP) server rather than the server we all play on, the Release Candidate (RC) server. Consider this quote from the recent Trust Us, We're QA blog: "the content has to be tested in both WIP and RC. WIP is the core environment that all developers use to create content for RuneScape, be it for an update scheduled for the next week, or one for next year." Ring of stone?

I just saw that someone had added the knowledge base entry about the Ring of Stone, which states that it might have unknown magical abilities. I don't consider this a leak, as this was a completely intentional text added by Jagex, and if added anywhere, it would be to the Upcoming updates page, but I don't think it fits there either. I suggest removal of that and other intentional "leaks".

He didn't find out the leak of "total time played" first, he just happened to stumble upon the Youtube video and hastily make an edit on this article about the leak. He didn't include correct formatting, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and all that he added was a direct link to the video.

A fellow member correctly added his entry and edited it accordingly, but the aforementioned user started to "rage" and caused obscene profanity among the chat log, which you can view.

I suggest blocking this user for at least a week.

Okay let's clarify it. I found it before any of you, so without me you guys wouldn't even know about it so technically I found it first out of all of you. I didn't stumble upon a youtube video. I made it. I didn;t include correct formatting, because i did not know how to make boxes. I ask someone to format it for me. Instead one of you just ripped of mines and add something different completely and took credit for it. Then i got angry because at first you constantly delete it, and when you found out it works( i bet my watching my video) you create your own thing Giving me no credit at all. Also your way does not work at all. So maybe now you understand the situation and understand why i might start "rage"

You have no proof that you found it before us. Someone had already posted the information about the link, along with a screenshot, before you posted. The fact that you didn't know how to add it properly to the table had nothing to do with it, your video was just not helpful to us, and rather than being mature about it and discussing it, you accused me of taking credit for your work (which I did not do) and then vandalised my user page. The person who uploaded the current image had no part in any of this "exchange" and knew nothing of your video. Your arrogance in this matter astounds me, how can you possibly think that you are the only person clever enough to figure this out on your own, and furthermore, than you did it faster than anyone else? No. This IP (75.40.139.23) only blanked the page (and a few others). Assuming you're the same editor as this IP, you added a link to YouTube; thats not a source. How do we know by looking at the link thats its not a rickroll or screamer? How do we know its not fake? [[User:TehNoobShow|TehNoobShow]] added the first mention of the Adventurer's Log here.

The IP you are replying to is the same IP that added the stuff to the page. They went on another computer or something. Adventurer's Log

This pertains to the 'Adventurer's Log' at the bottom of the article. -- I was reading about a few of the leaks both possibly to come, and already came. I noticed an adventurer's log and thought "Hey its already been released, why not try it out?" Well I've searched all over the RS (forums, customer support, searches, etc...) and couldn't find it. A New Layout on the LEAKS PAGE!

Ok, so why not have two sections on the leaks page? One for the PAST leaks, one for the CURRENT Leaks. So like: The Carpentary Skill and the Adventures Log in the past ones and something like the new music tracks in the current one. The past is for things that have been given a update, the present is for things that are new and have not been given a update.

Purple and gold Skillcape

New continent

In Mod Sam J's iCould at 1:00 there's a map very similar to RS type but it's not from any place on RS. Leak or no leak (first see it)?

It has been announced that Jagex will be working on a new continent soon, it has already been planned.~Prowlerath

It's been confirmed that this new continent isn't coming out until JaGeX finishes the current one. I loled at that, GF. at least 3 more years until new continent. (Elf City, Myreque, Ritual Site, Menaphos. Kudos Island is coming out before new continent though.

huh? 11 languages in runescape?

im not sure if it supposed to be there but when i was in the forums was asking a question for the Q&A and i found these language buttons, 11 of them!

There have been language specific forums at the bottom of the forums homepage for about a year now. With the most recent forums update they were moved to the language tab with the rest of the languages. Clicking on the leads to their respective language specific forum. New Black amrour

go to main page of rs the go to the ge price page there type the word "har" and u will see new black armour pieces (my bad its just that i saw them now according to the graph they've been there for half a year)still though it is a leak and the leaks page is semi protected so i cant edit it please some1 who can do it

Animation Pack 1

This is ridiculous, its a waste of loading time for this page, its not a freaking leak, Jagex released it to show the new animations for the Scimitars, the cape is just the Chochactrice cape without the head and the boots are Bandos boots, theres is no leak here. Half List on Whiteboard...?

"In the top right corner is a whiteboard that contains a half list of unreleased content." It has the check mark, which indicates its completion. However, you can't really tell what the list is leaking (if it is really a leak at all). So, I really don't understand how it is a leak/completed leak.

It was a list of unreleased content at the time it was taken. Glancing back over it again, it seems everything on that list has already been introduced into the game (i.e. the Thieving Guild, Dungeoneering, Fish Flingers, Fairy Tale part 3, Elite diary...)

Dragon mask face leak?

If my friends arn't lying (and one of the dragon mask pages) there's a leak where if you correctly position the Orb of Oculus, you can see the face under the mask and see the full updated face. I'm not good at editing, so can someone put this in? And better yet, can someone with a dragon mask get a picture?

It's most likely that the slot was made visible in error during the upload, for a track that's not yet ready for release. Rest assured that you're not missing a music track that should be there.

Clue Fest 2

I think it's pretty apparent that the Investigator's clothing and mysterious book are part of Clue Fest 2. Also, was the Magnifying Glass always at the bottom (above these new items)? We've had many holiday events since the first Clue Fest, so the magnifying glass should be in-between them somewhere. Unless... it's part of the Clue Fest set, mwaha.

What is a Leak?

Though it differs from the definition provided by this page, the definition of a leak according to Wikipedia. The article states that leaks have to either be unintentional or released "secretly". I've tried removing these myself but it is constantly reverted, so I've brought the discussion here. To look over the so called leaks listed in this article;

1) The Soul Rift: This is hardly a leak. If it's release was unintentional, it would have been removed LONG ago

. 2) The Map Leak: While (possibly) unintentional, we do not know what exactly this was a leak of. It definitely not Soul Wars, which was not in development at the time. This section should be reworded, if not removed all together.

3) Carpentry: Not intentional OR secret. Carpentry was going to be a skill but was scrapped very early into development. While it may have inspired Construction to some degree, it was definitely not a "leak" of it.

4) Dragon platebody: This is more of an easter egg than it is a leak. It is better suited for the trivia section of the Dragon Platebody article, and I am pretty sure it is already there.

5) Rest: The "Coming soon..." Dialogue should be evidence enough that this CLEARLY was an intentional release.

6) Scimitars: This was a featured in the developers diary about Animation Pack 1... so how is it a leak, exactly?

7) Video Leaks: The Zanaris Image was released in a video to the public, so it was clearly meant to be there. Furthermore, images of Zanaris had already been released previously, and the coming update to it was no secret. The board with unreleased content does not show enough for it to be a leak - As stated in the article itself, only a few letters are visible. Thus, it is unsubstantial. The so called "Motherland" leak is questionable. There is nothing to show that it is related to the motherland or penguin quests at all. It hardly even looks like an Iceberg. As for the map... this could be considered a leak, but it is far too insubstantial. See RS:NOT#CRYSTAL.

8) Treasure trail image: This image was released not long before the upate itself. This is not a leak, nor is it abnormal. The image was uploaded in preparation for the update newspost.

9) Dev Blogs (Video and Written): Since these images were taken in Jagex's testing enviorment, they contained features not yet in the actual game. However, the images are not secret OR unintentional, so that means they are not leaks.

10) Investigators clothing: Not intentional, secrecy is arguable. The ENTIRE cryptic clue fest, including the reward, was implemented into the game on it's first day. Theoretically, it could have been completed then, but due to it's nature, you would have had to know what items were needed in advance to do so. Really, it's not really secret - It's just a matter of how it was implemented.

11) Dungeoneering Master Cape: See above. The article itself even STATES that it was probably intentional.

12) Faces and masks: These were simply items released with the new faces before the full facial update, but it was not a leak. It would have been a lot more work for Jagex to release these masks with the old faces when they would have had to update them in a few weeks anyway. Thus, not intentional or secret.

This would leave us with:

1) Thieving leak: This was clearly unintentional. Thus, it was a leak.

2) Soul Tiara/Talisman: Clearly unintentional, considering it was removed afterwards,

3) Trade Octagon: Though scrapped, the release of the icon was unintentional. Thus, it was a leak.

4) Achievement Diary icon: See above.

5) Mobilising armies Teleport: See above

6) Dungeoneering leak: Though the existence of the Occult and Warped sections in the floor select was probably intentional, the ability to VIEW them wasn't. This is a genuine leak.

7) Anything from the knowledge base: While these are questionable, I admit that they could be genuine leaks. I'd appreciate some responses, especially from those keen to revert my edits to this page. Nightgunner ^Talk 02:34, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I don't see why the edits keep being re-added, but people would rather think that things are leaks and only leaks. I would guess that some don't differentiate between an [[Easter egg (feature)]] and a Leak. Some just like to re-post because they might think they just found it, adding new information for the wiki (I know this is a stretch) while not realizing it was removed earlier and as such was documented in the history. I think some folks just like to see the picture they uploaded shown in a page. Generally, I'd be pretty hawkish about removing stuff that doesn't qualify, too. However, pictures of Jagex folks working with some otherwise unreleased info in view I think does qualify as a leak. Their PR/marketing folks wanted to generate some good will, but the people getting their pictures taken/videos made didn't treat the info like it was super-secret black ops strategies. Just because they didn't think about what was going to be in the images doesn't mean they meant it to be released. It was still unintentional. You seem quite right about this after your explanation. I do not agree with the removal of these leaks, however:

• Map Leak - Okay, perhaps it wasn't meant for Soul Wars, but it does mean that there was something going on there. Perhaps it was scrapped, but hey, you want to keep the Trade Octagon, don't you?
• Rest - Yes, definitely intentional, but it was removed shortly after "release" and was intended as a leak to let people discover it for a few days.
• Whiteboard video leak - Perhaps intentional, perhaps not, but it did tell us about a lot of updates that we knew (FTP3) and hadn't expected (Th. Guild).
• Treasure Trails - You are totally right on that, but we didn't know the image yet and by modifying the link, we discovered the name of the next news post. Alright, scrap it.
• New clothes - In the new damage system update. These weren't released then, so I guess the mods were testing two things at once. It'd take keen eyes to discover that these clothes and colours were unreleased.
• Faces (MAYBE) - You are right, but it still gave us an idea of how it would look like. Fswe1 05:32, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Map Leak - I agree. That is why I said it could be kept, though rewritten to remove the Soul Wars references. There was a rumor that it was used for the testing of PoH stuff, though I am not sure how true that is.

Rest - It wasn't intended as a leak so much as it was a small easter egg for people who right clicked.

Whiteboard video - Alright, after taking a closer look I'll admit that the release schedule into that image was probably unintentional. However, it would be beneficial to the page if you could actually say what the board says and what it refers to, as it's pretty difficult to make out.

New clothes - Keen eyes? Not really. There were comments on the new clothing in the first few pages of the dev blog discussion. And at this point, we already knew that an update to the player kit would be coming soon, so it's not like it was something new.

Because Upcoming updates are updates Jagex planned and said about, while this page would contain insight into unconformed updates, pretty much the land between Leaks and Upcoming updates, if you can say so. And also, the U.D page is filled with too much text and quotes but few images, while this page will contain mostly images and a layout similar to Leaks (as far as I see it). I've seen this ad, only it was a different picture. It also said that only like 5k people play. I would definitely NOT click it. I doubt it's an advertisement from Jagex as the picture displays another game... Maybe the advertising company just failed or it's a personal advertising agency just helping out Runescape (you never know). Also, as stated above, it wouldn't be a leak anyway, as it's publicly shown.

The person in the Youtube video is using some kind of program to mess with the rs client, and mentions that the effects are only client side (as most hacking is), so it could be that the Lizardmen ARE coded into the game, but just haven't been released. So, no glitch.

My personal comment is that the they might want to make another Dorgeshuun series as many people love Zanik. It's map of yet to come grand enw area for even yet to come monkey quest!!!

It has islands around, and particly desert, no otehr opinions for such, at all! XD

- Well, Do No Evil came out and this area was not released. It could be the bottom parts of Menaphos and Sophanem, although it's rather big. It could actually be a jungle as if you look closely, there are some patches of green. Whatever it is, it have a body of water in the middle of it, making it two islands or an island with a river/lagoon in the middle of it. Perhaps its part of the Eastern lands.

chaotic armor?

Wasn't there a leak for the chaotic armors that Jagex confirmed? Someone had opened the skill guide for dungeoneering and gone to rewards and there were pictures of armor that looked like gorgonite in dungeoneering. They forgot about the ammo-less bow that is power as the Chaotic Crossbow which they talked about in January 2011 BTS. Two pictures of the armor so far, why not the bow? Notice the pack on the back of the character as well? The pack is probably why it is ammo-less, and it does not look like a regular bow either.

Dungeoneering tasks leak

I have seen it, it has no logo yet but its a strong hint that Daemonheim will have tasks, thanks whoever added that leak in the page, i was too lazy to do that =)

New weapons and new staff looks

i notice that the place where new players appear, explorer jack's house.i saw that when players were customizing thier looks i saw new weapons, like clever and huge axe, and the most interesting thing was a staff that looked like the staff from the old guy on the runescape membership cards. the centre orb was glowng blue and has a bit of electric lightning around it. also all the players names were " #players1345 " each with individual last four digit numbers. this was first notice on April, 14, 2011, in world 155

I think it's where your avatar goes when you start a new account and are choosing options. Some of the premade options for styling your character have unobtainable items such as a cool staff, a pickaxe, etc (why they thought it a good idea to show you with items you can never have i don't know). After you select your character's look you then choose a character name (since you login with email these days), hence the weird names. Clan home server up to 200, wonders..

It surely is rather interesting there, makes wonder is it really a leak, that of that there would be coming an expand for servers, more of them, now that would be fancy, i sat, lesser amount of ppl around, maabe.. But as thinking of recent days, i wouldn't expect them to do such, so i'd turn more to bug side, that it is, simply as that, a bug. Yet to emphazise, for random fella reading this message der, rather care not serious, bc i be having no clue of the whole 'issue' there, just opinions..

I think this isn't a leak, it's the same as the adamant cannonballs: it's easier just to use 1-200 instead of 1,2,3,4 (..) etcetera seperately. Adding more world then there are at the moment is just a way to have less work if they decide to add more world

Hey, when I saw picture of the auras from the loyalty rewards video, one was in lummy swamp and I believe the texture of the swamp water/tar was revised in it. My internet is too slow to load video to check though, but it could be a leak related to the new water. Bio 23:00, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

There are several leaks in this video, the new swamp visual featuring new trees, a new obelisk near the swept away start point, also featuring new water, new type of cannonballs (it seemed that some were mud, some were grass, some were rock and one seemed to be a magical shot) and the mirror that seemed to be shot in the tutorial island Richard ba 17:30, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Richard, the new Obelisk was there to begin with (Ever since summoning, in fact, but the new graphics came in with the draynor update), and the video seems to imply that the cannon balls with special effects were part of the set of auras. New water was indeed leaked, but we already have this up. Also, I put up the mirror leak. Who took it down? A Cadaver <span style 22:49, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

It looks like all but that picture was used already in recent updates, except for the one you show there. I'm hoping for soul altar...

Looks to me like an updated mind altar, you can see the barbarian village fence in the upper left hand corner.
