Different CB style than monster still work?

Do you still gain the combat damage percentage even if the monster does not use this type of attack? For example, if you are attacking with Ranged on a Mage only attack enemy and use Leech Ranged, can you still gain more ranged damage over time? Puretppc (talk) 23:31, January 10, 2015 (UTC)
