- No, there was a Life Rune, just not one available to players. Early versions of RuneScape classic had a Life Rune in the code, but it had no purpose, and was deleted. 24.48.189.235 20:45, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

- There you've used it twice now. Clearly, you do not know the meaning of extrapolate. Your use of it loosely implies that you agreed that "Life runes" did indeed exist, and that the other posters were predicting what became of them. What you intended was the term "here say." Either way your comments were irrelevant as the point of the article were to explain what was known about Life Runes at the time (rumors and all), not about the factuality of hackers discovering the runes. jdk1.0 11:11, 28, Aug 2009 (EDT)

Hey, sometihng weird[]
You know the log-in screen with those lamps with flames and how the flames make the rune symbols but I saw one that looks like the life rune's symbol a little bit I edited the article to add that.

Jagex stated that the Life rune was programmed into the game, but there was no way to get one. Jagex also stated that players found out about the rune, and it became a rumour. How could players have found out about it if it's impossible to get? And where did that image come from? It was first uploaded in March 2007 by Total Rune, but that was before the image was released by Jagex. Did hackers really hack into the game? User:C Teng/sig 18:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Life rune existed and still exists in game cache. The easiest proof of it's existance is to find a rsc item ID website and look for ID 37. It's life-rune and examine text says "Used for summoning spells". I actually changed item ID in my inventory to ID 37 and this is the result (client sided only, it reverts back to original item ID once you logout):
