Seems like there's a bit of a bug on the hard (medium) level. If you've completed the dragonslayer quest, and didn't ask the guildmaster about how to protect yourself from dragonfire, then Horatio won't give you an anti-dragon shield... Armcie 21:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I think I found a glitch. I bought an anti-dragon shield at the GE, when i went to Horatio for the achievement diary he said nothing about the anti-dragon shield. I already tried to bank the shield, drop and even giving it away. Or should you have 33 quest points before you can get the anti-dragon shield from Horatio?
- It could be that you do need to talk to the Guildmaster at the Champions Guild to be able to talk about the shield. Although I could be wrong. ~MuzTalk 15:59, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Probably not, it just says craft it. I might tell you if it does once i have done it :D:P (will be quite soon ,just need a mould, ill go to al k) No u do not, just the unstrung symbol is enough
it appears that u can use req assist to finish the diary, i know that u can use it for the smithing part of it
this guide NEEDS to explicitly mention that for both the ghostspeak amulet and the anti-dragonfire shield, you MUST have dropped them before you can get a replacement and therefore complete the respective parts of the achievement diary. Following this guide wasted me a lot of time
Has the Potter's wheel in Draynor been removed? I can't find one anywhere near the village, and fellow players said that it's not in there. If this's true, then the task requiring to make a pot with that wheel is sort of, well, impossible?

New Hard tasks

For some reason article says you can use temporary boosts like brews and assistance, but tasks dont update if you use assistance. I don't know is it is a bug or it was intended, so please put it under trivia or glitches, based on what it truly is.
I just tried to make the 100 water runes with my explorer's ring on, twice. First time, I made 101, but it didn't update, and second time, I made 102, still no update. No, I am not using pouches or anything. Are we sure that the explorer's ring can provide the extras?

- I crafted 103 with the Ring (pure ess,) and it didn't count. I took the ring off and a couple of ring-less tries later got enough runes, at which point it was successful. Taersx 01:47, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

- I am 50 runecrafting and i did it, i did u a explorers ring also i used regular ess it took me like 15 trips though
Assistance
I am relatively certian you cannot complete a task with assistance. In an effort to test this I assisted a friend with crafting 100+ water runes and he got 120+ with my assistance but his diary did not update. Would someone test some of the other tasks that use assistable skills?

Smithing mithril platebody with assistance also does't update tasks. Is it bug or feature added by Jagex???

Yup. I came on here to say that mithril platebodies don't work. I just tried it. I had no idea about this discussion. I'm going to change the article to say that assitance in general does not work. east or west ?
Climb up the ladder of the east gatehouse (the opening to get into Lumbridge Castle Courtyard), once on the top level, burn your yew log. if your not sure use the compass and aim it north. that east gatehouse looking from inside the castle ( which is how i think most people figure this) is really west The east gatehouse then would be seen from the bank. am i the only one who sees this? - I just did the task and it says to go to the west gatehouse but i tried it twice with no luck, after reading this page i tried the main gatehouse on the east and it worked, not sure whats up with that!

What about the new update they put newer tasks. Like "Morgan the Merrier" If anyone know how to finish this please reply back i've been searching everywhere and i don't seem to know how to do it. I know you need to sell him a Clay ring but every time i use the ring on him it says "nothing interesting happens".
If your trying to sell him the enchanted clay ring you made, then he won't be it. However, just talk to Morgan and talk about clay rings and he'll buy it.

New Tasks
Just logged in with an account that had completed all the old tasks, and completed a task called "How to Train and Level" or something like that. Am assuming that this was a (poorly planned) hidden update, and that other new tasks in the lumbridge and draynor tasks have been introduced. Can someone give a list? Morgan the Merrier is a beginner task not an easy one
- / I can't do the made to order task where u have to make a holy symbol. When i try to it says you have to be on a members server to create canonballs. Al-Kharid West Gate Task - Glitched?

Rune Memories
Can someone verify with a NEW account, if the Rune Memories quest impacts getting an Explorer Ring 1-4?
I have several accounts with the Beginner-Med completed, and with the rune Memories task active to complete. But it does not impact the account's ability to use the Explorer Ring. Deltaslug (talk) 02:46, May 17, 2013 (UTC)

Just upgraded my ring to Explorer's Ring 4, didn't do any of the member things, I got the ring before the included the member tasks though.--Silverwilver (talk) 02:15, November 1, 2014 (UTC)
Bug (only 126 of 127 tasks shown as complete)
My task progress is showing as 126/127 tasks complete, however I have all 127 tasks shown as ticked off and complete if you look at the task list. When hide completed tasks (but still show tasks that aren't part of a set) no tasks show up. When I add up the total number of tasks from other areas which arent complete, it adds up to the correct total, as if I had all Lumbridge tasks complete.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a known way to fix this?
