How Does This Work?[]

How Is This Considered "Viable"?[]
How is this considered "viable", exactly? Is it just the cost reduction?
Because carrying the runes needed for the spell means less runes crafted per trip than if you just carried one talisman, and I highly doubt anyone could cast the spell, withdraw a few more essence, and get to the altar before the spell wore off with anything short of a teleportation tablet (which also consumes a slot that could hold an essence as well...).
