Whoever posted that screenshot with the magpie inventory was wrong. The magpie does make its money back considering its only ~1k to make. You more realistically are going to see roughly 10k-30k per hour. Based on 20 mag pies I recieved 4 uncut sapphires, 4 uncut emeralds, 3 uncut rubies, 10 sapphire rings, 6 emerald rings, 1 diamond ring. 20 pouches took me almost 20 hours. If you had one mag pie to try it out you probably going to see 1-2 uncut gems, 1 ring. Thats about it. [[User:Bogeyd6|Bogeyd6]] 20:24, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

It seems that I am able to poison hill giants with bronze knives when a magpie is with me. Has anyone else found anything like this? They get poisoned for 2 points. I can do this with almost every giant. I was unable to get the poison effect with an iron dagger. [[User:Dgtns|Dgtns]] 05:40, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

The line Ye' been plowdin' i' the claarts aall day." is a derivative of "plodging in the clarts". Something "clarty" is Newcastle/Sunderland slang for "sticky", and the phrase "Plodging in the Clarts" means to stomp through thick wet mud, usually done while wearing "wellies" (thick rubber boots). It's something young children do (or at least used to do) after it had rained and muddy ground became "the clarts", so they'd go out and "plodge" in it for fun. I've edited the article to reflect this, hope it helps. {{unsigned|86.141.109.150}}
