Triple damage?

what does triple damage even mean? triple compared to what? 3x the damage you would receive if you had no armour on?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Want a soul (talk) on  08:09, December 5, 2012‎.

Three times the damage taken as compared to if you were wearing the armour in TzHaar City, I assume. May take awhile for wiki information to become concise and clear. --User:Limxzero/Signature 08:21, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

Lavaproof?

The only way this obby armour would be worth smithing and using in the Fight Crucible is if it also reduces the damage taken from the lava heat. Environmental damage from the grid is a percentage of your current LP (much like Agility fails), so without a reduction, you'd be better off running around with half a health bar, no matter what armour you were wearing. I hope that Jagex has been tricksy-tricky, rather than stupid-tricky. OneEyedGnome 14:22, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think its a percentage of your current life points, because when I go into that minigame to commit suicide, I get hit the same amount of damage until I die.

Equal to dragon.

Is there any reason level 80 armor is equivalent to dragon in terms of defense? I mean it's level 80 equipment which is on par with level 60. The obsidian platebody has the same life bonus as a nex body but the nex body has 2.65 times the defence. I feel like the armor should be boosted at least some because it already takes triple damage outside of the volcano and the 20% damage reduction does not seem to do very much.50.130.157.186 02:25, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
