i'm not done in the quest yet, do we really have to kill a lvl 100? its listed as intermediate on the knowledge base.....Marcus Gord 13:51, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

A level 100 monster needs to be killed. It is possible to use prayer against the monster and it appears to have weak defence. The Fremennik Trials requirement makes this monster pretty easy in comparison. --Miw 14:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Isn't there a new underwater blade we can get? I saw the new special in the Knowledge Base of a Cutlass of sorts.. {{Signatures/Total Rune}}22:17, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
It's the Brine sabre which is dropped by Brine rats.

Bridge[]

The article lists a procedure to cross the bridge which seems pretty strange. I have read many strange recommendations to cross the bridge, none seem sound advice. Is there a way to get some way to confirm the advice? Aspects that are known to reduce agility failures: low weight, full run energy, high agility level and walk mode (turn off run). --Miw 07:49, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

omfg i did the bridge 13 times and finished quest then they made it easier! yeah turn run off, one step at a time, take shield and wep off and it works i crossed the complete bridge no problems that way twice! (BEFORE THE UPDATE GRRR) Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333)  talk

Run turns itself off when you go onto the bridge, and you get a message saying that you cant run on the bridge as its too slippy --82.47.15.94 15:55, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

I tried a few times by turning off run beforehand, and always failed before reaching the door. Then, I turned on run, ran to the door, turned on run again, and ran the rest of the way, and I beat it on my first try. I had a scimitar and shield equipped every time I tried it, weighed 30 kilograms, and had 52 agility. --75.59.205.76 21:38, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty confident that the bridge does not get any easier when you fail it. I have 59 Agility and failed six times before I managed to cross the bridge. That's more times than I failed all of the broken walkways in the Underground Pass together. NathanW197 22:30, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

Bridge is so fucked up, i cant get through it once and I have 50 agility. 98.175.79.2 21:03, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

I'd like to see a reference to confirm the bridge gets easier, I've failed it at least 10 times so far at level 43 agility and I haven't even gotten to the second repair section. 23:06, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

Difficulty[]

Just done this quest (without using the walkthrough :-p), and I notice it's listed here as short (which I agree with) and 4 out of 5 difficulty. I think this is really too high! I thought that defeating the level 100 enemy was surprisingly easy; Protect from Melee is incredibly effective, and it didn't take me very long at all to remove all his hitpoints.

  • Since this is about the only "difficult" part of the quest, and players need to have completed The Fremennik Trials anyway, I think 3 out of 5 is plenty for the difficulty level here. Open to opinions though, so fire away. :-) Leevclarke 18:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Well the difficulty is in the bridge part, after 20 times I still didn't get through, I even used rock clioming boots, hoping they would give me some grip... answer is no.Leon Art 12:59, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
  • This quest should be marked as "medium" and overall difiiculty should be 3-4/5. Everything was easy, except for the bridge part. -.- Quited finishing the quest because of this lol. ILYx3 (talk) 07:47, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Refrence[]

The examine infomation for the rock that says "Is it a rock crab? Our survey says No", is most likely a refrence to the popular UK show, All Star Family Fortunes. 92.237.115.175 20:47, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Who put in the reference to the Limp Bizkit song? It is much more likely a reference to the much older and far more well-known theme song of "Rawhide" a TV series from the 50s-60s. Sorry, but I'm removing and replacing trivia unless you have a source you'd like to cite.--Aura of Holy Might 06:42, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Toolbelt[]

Do you need to bring a hatchet and a tinderbox, or can you use the ones in your toolbelt?

All you need is to bring a spade; that's all. ILYx3 (talk) 07:43, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
