Spawn Rates/Limit[]
Statistics on amount of resource collected? I have gotten anywhere from 140-210 chippings before they stop spawning. Vusanson (talk) 21:46, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
- Today I hunted a group of them on my personal island for about an hour. I caught around 210 also before they stopped spawning. This was the first time I've noticed them stopped spawning, but I've hunted them for at least an hour in previous days. I'll continue to make a note of my daily catches for a bit, and I'll start tracking my times also incase that's important. — Heaven Sent (talk) 02:08, July 30, 2016 (UTC)
- 207 chippings, 11 chimes, and 1 Taijitu in roughly 40 minutes. I wasn't trying very hard, and walked away from my computer for a minute or two here and there (losing a few caught tortles I'm sure). 200 seems to be the maximum with some leeway; After 200, the torts are probably set to not respawn and the extras are caught left walking around. I'll try to pay more attention to what happens tomorrow when I get near 200 chippings. — Heaven Sent (talk) 16:21, July 31, 2016 (UTC)
- 212 chippings today. Pretty sure I understand how its working now. There are 8 Ornate tortles that spawn on my isle. I got to 199 chippings collected and let the 5 traps I had placed each catch a tortle; I also let each of those tortle respawn on my isle. I collected each of the traps I had placed; no tortles respawned. I finished catching the 8 tortles that were left walking on my isle. 199 + 5 + 8 = 212 chippings. Unless a hunter area can spawn more than 8 Ornate tortle's I'm fairly certain 212 chippings is the maximum collection from a single island daily. — Heaven Sent (talk) 22:12, August 1, 2016 (UTC)
If you have 199 ornates caught, then you have 1 single ornate trapped, but not caught, then get logged out, once you relog, all other ornate tortles would be gone, and only 1 will be left for that spot. --Jlun2 (talk) 13:48, January 13, 2017 (UTC)
