I think it makes sense to say that the player is the real world person who owns the account, the player character is the little in-game avatar person, and the account is all the data associated with the player, such as forum posts, items in their bank, membership status, levels, friendslist/ignorelist, what quests they've done, etc. -- Atlantima 16:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Grammatical gender[]
It is not correct to use the pronoun "they," as much as the gender is ambiguous, or universal, or otherwise unknown because ultimately, "they" refers to a more than one person, and the player character is a singular person. In high school English, we were taught that when the gender is ambiguous, to choose either "he" or "she," preferably the one corresponding to our own individual gender but to never use "they" because it is an incorrect solution for this issue of ambiguity in academic writing. Of course, in this article, it would be unfair to prefer one singular pronoun over the other, but we should not permit this incorrect usage of "they." I think the only recourse is to use "(s)he," unless anyone knows of any other method of resolving this ambiguity of gender. Sol Pacificus (talk) 16:13, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

Bandos[]
In the article we can read that the player "manag[ed] to accomplish feats such as defeating the god of war, Bandos"
Even if I can understand that the history is usually written by winners, shouldn't this article stay more neutral like the player participated in god wars? Also... why is that in the Early adventures section? This happened in the 6th age only after and because of Guthix's death. It cannot have been during his early adventures who clearly state the year 5:0169.
I know that not all players have done WGS and TWW before WE2 but I though that the cannon was that said players were reliving quests that happened in the past or something alike. Right? Proulxs (talk) 00:07, June 24, 2015 (UTC)
Default boots appearance[]
Are we sure the default boots are the "basic boots" and not the "plain boots"? The default top and bottom are "retro plain top" and "retro plain trousers" so I was wondering if the default boots are "plain boots" (the ones with the tips that point upwards) rather than the "basic boots" which is what the wiki image currently has.
