Help flushing this out would be appreciated. Most notably, I have no experience in the shops that exist in Guilds, having been admitted to only the Crafting Guild so far and that only recently. Similarly, don't have the magic ability yet to cast high alch, so my narrative here is based only on what I've read in other sources. MrRedwood 05:59, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've only quickly skimmed the article but are those comments left in italic bold meant for people to confirm? If so, you might simply want to make comments ambiguous and leave a note that only editors can read. To take an example at random, say if you weren't 100% sure on the money given by high alchemy, instead of saying "High Alchemy gives 150% (or whatever) of the money you would get from selling to a General Store. Is this true?"You could instead say "High alchemy gives a set amount of money. ". You'll see what I mean when you open this in an edit window - you can leave comments that only editors can see. Store Price[]
I recently saw an edit comment stating "store price is bought from store"... If this is really the new policy (is it ?), which seems pretty logical since the sell-to general shop price is usually the same as low alch, the description in the Store Price section should be updated, otherwise people will keep posting the best price at which a player can sell to stores.Patheticcockroach

- It has always been bouoght from store..to have sell to store would be pointless (low Alch).

- Well, there are many pages where the store price indicated is the sell to store (so the low alch) price. In fact, after reading this section again, I understand it's always been the buy from store price... but the sentence is a bit ambiguous IMO ("The highest prices a player will typically see will be the selling price at the appropriate store"), which could explain why many people put the sell to store price in the Store price section.

Balanced Trades[]
I know the prices are easier to tell with the grand exchange at the moment, but because of balanced trades, is there any point of having the street price up any more? In my opinion this will effect every street price in the game. Edenane 00:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- i say its still somewhat useful so players get an idea wether its worth for it to wait, or invest now

REAL Street Price and Junk Trading?[]
Would it be appropriate to add to the street price section reflecting that often times the street price and GE price differ greatly? For example a blue partyhat worth 500m in the GE could be worth 700m street price, and so the seller will put up 200m "junk" (items worth less than what the GE places them, usually because of price floors) to even the trade? I believe this is an integral part of the section, but since it's a wiki I'm not sure if it's appropriate.
"street prices"[]
I removed this section from the article :
The most items which have high street prices are discontinued rares. Here are approximate values of them:
* Santa hat 90-100 mil
* Green h'ween mask 70- 80mil
* Blue h'ween mask 85 -100mil
* Red h'ween mask 110- 130mil
* Easter egg 100 - 200 mil
* Disk of returning 100 - 150 mil
* Pumpkin 150- 200 mil
* Purple partyhat 330 - 360 mil
* Green partyhat 340mil -370mil
* Yellow partyhat 345mil -375mil
* Red partyhat 370 - 400mil
* White partyhat 410 - 430mil
* Blue partyhat 480 - 510 mil
* Half full wine jug 490mil to 540mil
* Christmas Cracker = 690 - 720 mil
NOTE: These prices vary ALL THE TIME, GRAND EXCHANGE PRICES which can change everyday. Those prices give you only approximate orientation. The maximum trade possible is 750MIL!, so a trade of a cracker, for example, is usually matched by other items with street value to make up the price.
All of those prices are way off for one, two "The maximum trade possible is 750MIL!" is wrong, the max trade is 2000m. I don't think it's worthwhile trying to keep up to date street prices on items as they can vary by billions in either dirrection.

Street prices[]
The balanced trade rule has forced all trades to be made at prices within the wealth transfer limit, forcing players to become more creative. Items with street prices worth more than the Grand Exchange prices must be traded along with "junk," or items worth much less than what the Grand Exchange places them (usually due to a price floor), in order to even out the trade. The same can happen with junk; junk items may be traded to people along with above-Grand Exchange priced items in order to neutralise the value to meet the wealth limit.
Lol, a bit outdated information. Needs to be updated!

Historical factoids[]
I've removed this old excerpt:
- Newly introduced items are allowed a much greater daily variance, some perhaps as much as +/- 20%.
If someone can confirm this, maybe it could be reintegrated it as history.
Another edit claimed that an update increased the limit to +/- 50%, then someone "corrected" this to 5%, and that persisted until my edit. I don't know whether any update ever did bump it up to 5%, but I believe it was that from the birth of the GE. Grault 09:39, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
