What purpose does the list serve?[]

There is currently a section in the article "List of Quest Items" which contains about five or six entries. I'm not sure what purpose this list is supposed to serve. Is it just supposed to be a few examples (in which case a more description header like "Examples of Quest Items" would serve better)? Surely it's not supposed to be a comprehensive list. If so, it makes more sense just to refer to the existing category rather than try to list the (hundreds of?) items again. JalYt-Mej-Wynde 14:44, June 25, 2010 (UTC)

Forum:Quest item irregularities[]

For reference, the unanimous consensus (dated 3 April 2010) of the topic forum discussion was that Quest items are:

This WOULD include:
  • items only used in the quest (e.g., Red cog)
  • rewards from the quest, that are earned (not unlocked rewards that must be paid for) (e.g., Iban's staff)
  • unofficial rewards obtained through various methods (e.g., Blurite sword)
  • books/items that may be kept/obtained/read after quests but only used during them (e.g., Diary of Herbi Flax)
  • items obtained during the quest, that are commonly used afterward (e.g., Dramen staff)
This WOULD NOT include:
  • an item that is commonly used for not only quests, but skills, minigames, D&Ds, etc. (e.g., Bucket)
  • items that can be obtained without completing/starting the quest, but are used in 1 or more (may be exceptions) (e.g., Crushed gem)
  • books not used during quests (e.g., Security book)
  • food (e.g., Lobster)
  • unlocked items that must be paid for/obtained after the quest, and are not featured in the "Quest complete scroll" (e.g., Dragon longsword)
