Woops, didn't see that there was already an article on this (Essence mines). I was searching for this article under various names and didn't come across anything, so I went ahead and created this one thinking that there was simply not an article for it yet - Sorry for any confusion. - Well... If it is to be moved, I think it would better be like "Rune Essence (mine)", if you insist.

- So far, all I can conclude from all the evidences is that:
- The four rocks are called "Rune Essence" , but the area which holds the four rocks is called "Rune Essence Mine".
- The upper part of your pic is the player who is asking to be teleported near the ROCK. The lower part of your pic is the player who hovers his mouse on the ROCK.

- Look at the hint for unlocking the mine's music (its lowercased there). Also, that kbase article says "Rune essence can only be mined from one location – the rune essence mine. " , "All of the NPCs above teleport you to the same rune essence mine, but only if you have completed the Rune Mysteries quest. ", and "As soon as you are teleported to the rune essence mine, head to a pillar of gray stone with magic swirling around it. New bank deposit in RC Guild[]
This page is in need to update as a bank deposit box has appeared in RC Guild due to recent update...perhap Sedorier should be now fastest for ppl with 50 runecraft as he is in the basement of the tower... Thanks...--Drixomanbeta 17:22, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I took the liberty to edit this article for the new Bank Deposit in RC Guild...The route of Aubury is still faster by 5 seconds, possibly from experimental error and other lag, but for the time being if you're REALLY concerned about time and efficiency then Aubury still is the fastest for mining ess.--Drixomanbeta 18:51, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
Explorer's ring[]
I used to log in daily, mine some essence, and use my daily low alchemy charges from my Explorer's ring. However, some time last week there was an update that disable the use of alchemy charges inside the mine. I'm not sure exactly when this happened, or if it affects other spells. Multiple locations[]
I'm supprised that no one else has ever noticed that there are (or at least were; I haven't rechecked since 2011) multiple rune essence mines (at least 4).
This can be easily checked by having a group of people/friends, and flushing the portals, keeping one person at the centre each time a new one is discovered, so that you can tell whether it is a new one or not (using vexilla and other markers can also work, but be carefull that you don't remove them or take longer than the timer for marker plants).
They were there before the Great Orb Project update (24/08/08), which was what first caught attention, as there appeared to be no reason for more than one; however, GOP needing multiple 'altar plans' allows for this (though it must have been planned for at least a couple of Years before it was introduced, as there were multiple mines in 06).
You could also find this out by the way they are different shapes and portal positions (relative to directional orientation) in the different mines.

Inconsistent Location[]
I'm reading 2 very different locations for the same mine. The common mine, everyone teleports to to mine is both far north of the wilderness/lunar sea and somehow also in the ice mountains east of Rellekka... Rsshadow (talk) 20:41, October 17, 2014 (UTC)
