Degrading

Does it disintegrate when it runs out? Or does it become uncharged and requires Recharge gems to be used again? User:Gat235/Signature 01:37, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

The gloves do not disintegrate when they reach 0 charges, for they can be recovered from Diango with 0 charges. It is highly unlikely that recharge gems can be used with the gloves, as they work only with experience boosting apparel. It seems likely that once out of charges, the gloves either can never be recharged, or will have to be won again from the Squeal of Fortune. I believe they just become uncharged and cosmetic.  You are able to get more than one set of gloves though.  My first set is down to 40 charges remaining and I have another full set in my bank.116.251.131.116 02:59, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding coins generated, from my investigations it seems to be based on total level, similar to cash bags.  I edited the page, which was originally claiming 10-12k was average.  I have 2580 total [? I doubt this - max. is 2496], and was getting 42-48k every time.  Another maxed friend of mine was getting 50-56 apparently.116.251.131.116 03:02, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

WHAT follows here is a deposit-by-deposit account of my Samid's gloves showing the number of the deposit, how much was deposited, and the total number of charges used at each point. My Total Level 2492: Format is as follows: (number of deposit) cash amount [total charges used]:

(1) 58,837gp [1]; (2) 53,389gp [2]; (3) 59,382gp [3]; (4) 58,292gp [4]; (5) 544,790gp [14]; (6) 59,382gp [15]; (7) 57,202gp [16]; (8) 50,120gp [17]; (9) 422,757gp [25]; (10) 49,575gp [26]; (11) 52,844gp [27]; (12) 57,202gp [28]; (13) 49,575gp [29];...(more updates to follow)

i have used the gloves for about ten minutes and it only dropped 1% so far. i only time i got money so far was after my 2nd catch and then one of my last few catches to fill my inventory i got the 2.6k of coins (in total to fill my inventory with tuna and lobster i got 5k) . but these gloves work faster than the normal speed of the skill ur working onLuck 267 (talk) 18:58, April 5, 2013 (UTC)luck 267

Formula

Mod Michelle told in forums(ere) that the coins granted per charge depends on player's total levels. Trivia or alike to add to page, der?

It's already on the page. "The amount of coins given is dependent upon your total level, similar to cash bags." Duffmaaan (talk) 11:16, April 5, 2013 (UTC)
But the page says u get 1.29M from 100 charges, which is wrong... I'm total lvl 2.3k and got ~4M from 100 charges. No idea about the formula so... ~C0L
Any monetary figures stated on the page are by people who don't know how to edit properly. It's based on your total level. Duffmaaan (talk) 12:21, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Does anyone else find it sad that a higher total level rewards more coins? That seems entirely unfair to me, especially since most maxed players have a good amount of money already. 72.14.121.57 23:04, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Slayer?

The wording in the entry is very unclear. Does this mean that Samid gloves DO grant gold for training slayer? Or that slayer is (somehow) considered to be a non-combat skill, and is an exception because the gloves don't grant gold for slayer? That sentence needs to be much clearer. Nerlone (talk) 05:06, April 6, 2013 (UTC)

Slayer is a non-combat skill because a higher Slayer level does not make you stronger. I believe this is the way Jagex views it. 107.4.146.94 03:14, April 7, 2013 (UTC)Kritis

At various times Slayer has been regarded as both a combat and a non-combat skill, Jagex has been rather inconsistent in that regard. You can use Zeal from Soul Wars to get Slayer xp, for instance, but can't use any quest reward combat lamps on Slayer. Paronomasia (talk) 16:38, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

Constitution?

My Samid's Gloves activated when I gained both Defence and Constitution XP so perhaps Attack, Strength, Defense, Magic, and Ranged are the only skills that do not give coins since they are the only ones that can contribute to your combat level. Also, even though Magic is a combat skill I have gained coins from High Alching.

Odds for the gloves?

Dose anyone know how many spins on average it takes to get a pair? I didn't get a pair with 75 spins used.

They're in the uncommon slot ( I believe) and I think the odds are 1/100. 129.8.201.222 16:36, April 8, 2013 (UTC)
