I don't think the fact that your health bar is uneffected when you drink both the Sarodomin and Zamorak potions is a glitch. It simply means that your extra health, and not the health you normally have, was taken away (this also happens when you pray at the elidinis statuette). It's like wearing mystic robes and taking them off in that it doesn't make you more vunerable than normal to magic (like if you were wearing plate armor), it just means that you are back at the baseline. The Knowledge Base lists a defence boost of 2-21: http://services.runescape.com/m=rswiki/en/The_Potions This is very different from the 25% stated here.--74.176.209.241 15:58, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

On the trivia part.. I wouldnt expect anything that contains a pieces of a birds nest (often filled with chick droppings) to be "delicious".

on the trivia..unless I'm mistaken, Jagex realized that the sara brew behaviour was actually intended and fixed it back to its original state again. I cannot cite any evidence at the moment though, so I'd rather not edit the article on my own Jonanananas 11:40, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

drops?[]

does any monster drop this?--Qazwsx753421 21:13, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Trivia[]

The trivia states that since the brews were made a rare drop they entered a steep fall. This fall was after a massive spike and had nothing to do with the ring of wealth update. Infact the fall started around the 8th march which was a week before update. Since nobody knew saradomin brews would be a drop this is not connected.

Also, saradomin brews go through peaks and troughs like this depending on new updates releasing bosses etc.

The price changes are as follows for the 4 dose ones which are dropped by monsters now:

30 Days: +2.1% 90 Days: +11.1% 180 Days: +31.1%

Saradomin brews have gone up in price since the ring of wealth update.

I have removed the part about the prices entering a steep fall because of all I have said.86.177.37.35 00:34, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

I see someone seems intent on keeping it in. Could you please discuss why instead of just revoking my valid edit.86.177.37.35 00:42, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Overloads[]

I think its weird that its recommended to drink overloads after drinking a saradomin brew, as it always ruins the brew's effect, since it damages the player by a 500.77.251.46.60 (signature added later so no time is given

( someone fix this its completely wrong ) if you drink a overload and sara brews your stats still go down )

No, you drink overloads then saradomin brew. The overload's effect keeps stats constantly boosted for 5 minutes which cancels out the drain of the saradomin brew. Meaning if you have overloaded, you can drink saradomin brews for the life point increase without your stats draining. So you can drink saradomin brews without a restore potion after you have overloaded basically, good for boss fights to bring brews and no restores to save inventory space.

Percentages[]

It does not seem accurate that the Saradomin Brew defence/hitpoint increases and other stats decreases are based on percentages. The Runescape knowledgebase states that one dose of brew heals between 20 and 160 lifepoints while here it is claimed that it heals 15%, 990*.15=148.5 which would probably round to 150 not 160. Basically, it seems there is more to the equation then simple percentages. Same with the lower end of the equation as well, a defence boost of 25% if you have 1 defence is less than a 1 level defence boost, while the minimum defence boost in the knowledge base is 2. With this defence as well the maximum in the knowledge base is 21, 99*.25=24.75, probably rounding to 25 instead.

Entering Wild while brewing[]

Trivia states:

"If you drink a Saradomin brew and enter the Wilderness, you will see in the chatbox "Your extreme potion bonus has been reduced.", and your defence bonus from the Saradomin brew will be reduced to the bonus of a super defence potion."

However I don't think this is the case anymore as I just tried it out and this did not happen. Can anyone confirm?

Inconsistency[]

So... what is it? Either I must be reading it wrong, or one of these is wrong:

"It no longer gives a boost of 15% + 20. ... This potion is one of very few ways to raise your Life points above the normal maximum. The boosting effect will NOT stack with Rocktail, but it will with the warmth of a bonfire."

Btw, is it even advised to still use it? I still see several articles referring to it. . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium.
