Differences between Inferior and Superior

The Superior version apparently breaks/disintegrates after 4 hours; after which, the player will need to make a new one. Does the Inferior version do this as well or is it permanent with only a cooldown timer? This wasn't clarified well in the article. Thanks! The examine texts seem to tell enough (I'm not sure if these were accurate when you posted or not): Superior heals a "moderate" amount of health, while Inferior heals a "small" amount; Superior lasts four hours while Inferior lasts three hours; and, finally, Superior is not tradeable while Inferior is.
