Is it necessary to have a list of monsters that drop the shield. This is not common on many other item pages and isn't it the case that any monster that drops gems has a chance to drop the shield half? Dechaineux 12:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

- I agree. Heck, its still 50m+ on runescape classic, something this rare of a drop should be worth more... yet there are newer/better/more affordable sheilds at 60 attack (such as the obby one... pretty sure that's what killed it... along with all the good 70+ def sheilds like crystal.. etc). - I've been playing since '02, before the quest was even out, never have i gotten a drop... I've always heard rumors that it needs to be done, but I still don't know. This is something that I really would like to know as well. Omg r u mine 14:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

List of Monsters No Longer Relevant[]
With the addition of the Rare Drop Table article, the list of monsters that drop the Shield left half is no longer relevant on this article. The Shield left half is confirmed to be on the Rare Drop Table, and so the list is simply a list of the monsters that give access to the Rare Drop Table.
If we were consistent we should update every single item confirmed to be on the Rare Drop Table with list, which includes both the half keys and the four original uncut gems. Along with this, any change (such as additions) that is made to one list on any of the pages should be made to every other list on every other page that it is on. This is quite excessive, so we should only have the list on one page where it is most relevant and general (i.e. the Rare Drop Table article) and then link to it on any relevant article.Anincent 12:41, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
Drop tables[]
So the shield left half is usually in one of two places within a drop table; listed under armor or listed under other. I'd just like to see where most of you think it should be placed. I myself say other considering the shield half itself is not equippable. Samba37 14:24, November 4, 2010 (UTC)
