I've hit 21 with slayer dart. I'm 55 slayer 99 mage. Wearing full torags DFS Fury, Seers ring, rune boots 99 mage cape. - Bjm-117/911in2001

I've hit 19 and I'm only 72 Magic. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 19:23, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

I have a theory that it's based on slayer level. I'm 87 magic and I think 19 is my max. Anyway, I'm positive that it's possible to hit over 19 without one of those capes, so I'll change that. --Wowbagger421 20:09, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Just to 100% clarify: At levels 70-72 Magic and 55 Slayer, my max is 19. Maybe we can get other people to inform us of theirs. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 22:10, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Mod letter stated that Magic Dart is more effective at higher Magic levels. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 12:31, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

It has been confirm by Jagex that the damage Slayer dart does is dependant on your Magic level. Here's a chart on the damage.

Level 50-59: 15 Level 60-69: 16 Level 70-79: 17 Level 80-89: 18 Level 90-99: 19

There is also talk that, if you can get your magic beyond level 99, you can hit 20s. However, nobody I know has tested this yet. I myself have 87 magic and hit no higher than an 18 with it.

This is all at barrows or metal dragons.

There is a contradiction in this article: The accuracy of this spell IS affected by magic attack bonus. and further down and they can wear melee armour with no negative side effects. Melee armour means lower/or negative magic attack bonus, so this sure does have a negative side effect on the spell. I can confirm it from personal experience too that I hit much better with magic outfit than with rune outfit. GerhardHaering

i was the one to make the edit saying it IS NOT effected by it. I ave heard from many people many times that it has no effect. I might get a friend to help me with a test though. I'm thinking get 400 deaths, 1600 minds, full rune, and full mystic. My friend gets full rune and full d-hide. I'll test it 4 times. #1- Both with rune, #2- Me wit mystic, him with rune, #3- me in mystic, him in d-hide and #4- M in ymstic him in d'hide. I'll log accuracy of my hits and confirm if mage def of your enemy counts and if mage atk of thee attacker counts. I'll get back to you on the results when I feel like testing this, I'll get back to you in a few weeks =D

Hearing lots of people say it doesn't make it true. If you heard from somebody that they got the answer through Jagex customer support there's no way to tell if it's the truth or a lie. The only way this can be confirmed is if a Jagex mod says it publicly. Superkid711 18:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Somebody please upload an animation of this spell. I can't do this myself because I don't have the requirements to cast it. =( ~ Fire Surge icon Sentry Telos Talk  11:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Max hit.[]

The artical is clearly outdated with all the magic boosts now, it is extremely easy to hit past 200. I or someone else can work out all of the math later.Branmans 02:52, August 8, 2011 (UTC)
