- I'd like to see that proof. Jagex's own knowledgebase states "You will only need one needle to craft with and each roll of thread will last four uses." I highly suspect that these people are misscounting. You'll also need to show the messages that are printed after the items, such as 'You make a pair of leather gloves.' and 'You have used up one of your reels of thread.' Depends on material... When I crafted soft leather it was always 4, but with hard . leather it was 5. 84.2.206.127 18:52, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

What the... spent 12 mins rendering it in Sony Vegas 9 at the highest quality possible, watch it in HD killer, it looks fine and not blurred at all. I honestly don't know how rare the 5 spool use is, and i was very confident I wasn't lying, i just got it right on first try. I remembered it sometimes gave 4-5 uses due to my horrible crafting, I was getting it up last week for the Lunar Diplomacy quest, and ever since then I've remembered about the 4-5 spool use. There is also a picture in low detail clearly showing the messages and spool. I don't know how much clearer you want me to be.
EDIT: also, watch the mini-map or the characters in game, they don't jump around abnormally I did not mess with the video by any means. My PC Resolution is 1280X1024, used FRAPS to record. If you STILL don't believe me, I'll upload the original video that is crystal clear to an upload site, i had to compress the Youtube version of it with Sony Vegas, but I promise you this is legit.
