Tarquin chathead

Tarquin Marjoribanks is an NPC found south of Varrock behind the Champions' Guild he teaches players about canoeing. He is part of the Varrock Royal Family, and is related to King Roald. Although he is actually Roald's fourth cousin once removed on his mother's side, he believes that he is closely related to the king.

With the 15 February 2011 update that made canoes available to free-to-play players, it is also no longer necessary to have a hatchet to make a canoe. Tarquin will lend the player one for free, and it will be automatically returned when the canoe is made.

Trivia

  • Tarquin is based on Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, the seventh king of Rome.
  • Tarquin appears to be wearing a red boater.
