The Inadequacy is the strongest quest monster in RuneScape by combat level and the seventh in total. He is fought in the quest Dream Mentor, so that way you can cure Cyrisus' fear of combat. After it is killed, it transforms into a level 223 The Everlasting.

Note: You CANNOT bank after defeating each monster in the quest; you must start over from the first monster, if you leave the Dream World.

Fighting Strategy

• The Inadequacy is very powerful, so good food such as sharks or better foods are recommended.
• It uses melee, and if you stand out of its melee range, it will use a magic spell that looks like Shadow Rush.
• It hits in the low 20s extremely often, and hardly misses, but it has very low defence.
• Also prayer cannot be used while fighting this monster, so using Super set potions is highly recommended.
• Using a Dragon dagger p++ can be good to use it's special on it, but it is recommended to attack with melee or range.
• It also spawns many A Doubt (level 78s) that attack you, but ignore them, since they disappear if you kill The Inadequacy.
• If you need to escape during battle, there is a lectern near the edge which will teleport you out of Cyrisus' dream and back to Lunar Isle.
