Walkthrough

Requirements	Skill requirements are not boostable unless marked with a [B] for boostable. Quests: The Slug Menace Sea Slug Wanted! 33 quest points Recruitment Drive The Lost Tribe Goblin Diplomacy Priest in Peril 30 Crafting 30 Runecrafting 30 Slayer 30 Thieving Ability to defeat a level 51 enemy with melee.
Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. Swamp paste At least 5 rune essence or pure essence (the essence can break during the quest, so to be safe, bring 10-15 or a wicked hood) Either an earth, water, fire, air and mind talisman, an elemental and mind talisman, an omni-talisman, or their equivalent tiaras, or access to the Abyss. A wicked hood charged with any of these combinations will also work. Alternative to talismans: play the Great Orb Project activity to get to the altars (50 required)
Recommended	An amulet of glory with at least one charge Melee equipment to kill a level 51 monster Activated lodestones in Ardougne and Falador Essence pouches can carry runes for you if you have completed the Abyss miniquest A traveller's necklace
Enemies to defeat	Slug Prince (level 51), who drains prayer by several points with each attack and is immune to ranged or magic-based attacks

Witchaven weirdness

• Talk to Sir Tiffy Cashien in Falador park.
• Talk to Col. O'Niall on the pier in Witchaven. (Ardougne Lodestone, head east)
  • "Who are the important people in Witchaven?" (Chat option 3)
• Talk to Mayor Hobb.
  • "I'm just looking around". (Chat option 2)
• Talk to Brother Maledict in the church.
• Talk to Holgart.
• Report back to O'Niall.

Imposing door

• Climb down the ruins west of Witchaven.
• In the first room, push the east wall.
• Run through the cave until you reach an imposing door, Take the agility shortcut near the entrance if you have the level for it.
• Savant will contact you.
• Scan the commorb.
• Pick up the dead sea slug.
• Talk to Jorral in the Outpost. (Tiny building south of Gnome Stronghold)
  • "Translations" (Chat option 2)
• Savant will contact you straight after.
• Return to O'Niall in Witchaven.
• Talk to Brother Maledict in the church.

The completed puzzle

• Search the Mayor's desk.
• Talk to Ezekial in the fishing shop.
• Talk to O'Niall.
• Use swamp paste on the fragments.
• Talk to Jeb to reach the fishing platform.
• Talk to Bailey, west.
• Use the glue on the fragments.
• Use the image to solve the puzzle, there are 2 sides to the pieces so you might need to flip some.
• Talk to Jeb to go back.

Shaped runes

• With essence in your inventory, right click the papers to create 5 shapes.
• Use the blank shapes on their respective runecrafting altars.

Final fight

• Take your runes and melee equipment to the imposing door.
• Use the runes on the door.
• Kill the Slug prince (Melee Weapon).
• Talk to Sir Tiffy. (Chat option 1)
• Quest complete!
