Thessalia's Makeovers

Thessalia's Makeovers is a makeover shop in Varrock's town square that can change a player's basic clothing. Items that can be customised include the player's shirt and shirt sleeves, legs and armguards, as well as the colours of these items. Shoes and hairstyles cannot be customised at Thessalia's Makeovers. Changing basic clothing is free. Except for equipment in the ring and ammunition slots and auras, nothing may be equipped while having a makeover. After beginning a makeover players are able to select different clothing options from the customisation interface. This interface contains a preview of the player's character using the options selected. While previewing their character, players can click on either side of the representation to cause their character to rotate. Clicking again stops the character rotating. Up until 1 September 2010 characters rotated constantly, as rotation was not optional.

An update on 13 August 2007 introduced new basic clothes to the game, along with new hairstyles. On 25 August 2010 more clothes and colour options for clothing were added. Unlike previous tops, the tops introduced with this update did not have customisable sleeves. On 22 April 2014, another batch of new clothing types was added. All clothing options that existed before this date were assigned the 'retro' prefix.
