The Thing under the bed is a creature that can be found under the Wise Old Man's bed in Draynor Village. In pay-to-play worlds, players can help the Wise Old Man do small tasks. A possible task given by the Wise Old Man when you offer to assist him is to fight the Thing under the bed. Luckily, the monster is weak, and players should have little trouble disposing of it. If the player succeeds, they will be rewarded with Constitution experience. Even if not assigned the task, players may still kick the bed, but nothing will happen. The Wise Old Man mentions that he thinks the Thing under the bed was scared into his house by the H.A.M. group. It is speculated that the thing under the bed is a goblin. There are several clues that lead to this. One is when Sergeant Abram, the leader of the Lumbridge Guardsmen, in his dialogue, mentions 'dragons in cellars, goblins under beds'. Also, the Wise Old Man mentions that H.A.M. scared the animal, causing it to take refuge underneath his bed. H.A.M. tried to get rid of the goblins out of East Lumbridge, and may have ended up being able to clear part of East Lumbridge.
