Thrownaxes are a type of Ranged throwing weapon. They can be bought from the Authentic Throwing Weapons store at the Ranging Guild or from another player, or, as of the Evolution of Combat update, be made using the Smithing skill. Being one-handed, they can be wielded with shields and off-hand weapons. The attack range of most thrownaxes is 4 spaces.

Thrownaxes have a speed factor equal to that of Javelins, and much slower than that of throwing knives and darts. Despite being the same speed, they are slightly weaker than javelins. This is probably because they have off-hand versions, unlike javelins.

It should be noted that non-corrupt Morrigan's throwing axes are slightly faster than normal throwing axes, with an attack interval of 3.0 seconds, equal to that of Longswords.
