Topaz bolt tips are a members can be attached to steel bolts to make topaz bolts. Doing so requires level 48 Fletching, and grants 3.9 experience points per set of tips attached.

Members can then optionally enchant the red topaz bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt spell to make topaz bolts (e). This gives the bolts a chance of lowering the opponent's Magic level, though it only works on other (human) players. This ability could be useful in PvP environments, as with a lower Magic level, the opponent may not be able to attack you with magic.

Enchanting bolts in this way requires level 29 Magic, and grants 33 experience points.
