Get digging for treasure this week and find ancient rewards! Chests have been lost beneath the sands and the time to unearth them has come. From 00:00 game time on the 3rd May through to 23:59 on the 7th May, recover some Buried Treasure on Treasure Hunter.
On opening the Treasure Hunter interface youll be met with a grid-based map, and youll open chests by clicking on squares within it. Each square contains at least a normal chest, but 6 per grid will contain a special chest, containing a trove of 4 or 5 prizes.
These come in four types, which can contain different types of items and the amount left to find on your grid will be displayed at the side of the interface.
Here's what each chest type may contain:
Skilling dummy packs
Combat dummy packs
Wizards Tower staff
Dominion Tower maul
Protean packs (s/m/l)
Slayer Tower bow
There's also a chance that any of these above chest types will contain a special prize: a Treasure Chest rest animation, a held Treasure Map item, or a much rarer chance to get a lucky item (including retired ones).
Good luck, and may your foraging be fruitful!
What is Treasure Hunter?
Treasure Hunter is playable from within RuneScape, allowing players to use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.
Playing Treasure Hunter is simple - click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.
Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.
If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website, or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.
