Hey, quick note. Make sure when you're making changes that you're trying hard to keep existing variable names and usage as much as possible. I will try to convert everything into the generalized version once I have time again, but in order for that to work effectively everything needs to stay as close to uniform as possible. Avoid too many 'one-time use' code randomly in the functions if possible and try to keep the code's purpose clear to avoid clutter and confusion of what is doing what and where it is being used. Sometimes minor, sometimes major, just things I've been seeing (since I get notifications any time the modules are modified). Thanks, {{User:LDemonl/Signature}}

Calculators

I've been watching your progress on skill calculators for the last couple months. What are your goals with the calculators? Would you be interested in talking with me about the wiki's skill calculators? Thanks! ʞooɔ 02:23, July 11, 2017 (UTC)

Since not all the skills (on the Calculator page) have a calculator to determine how much XP is need to reach the next level and beyond, I made my own on my PC, but after I accidentally deleted it I made them here. If you want to use them (in part of whole), that fine with me - Talk DarkNITE Contrib 03:25, July 11, 2017 (UTC)
You should consider using Lua for your calculators! We have a harness to make any sort of skill calculator (seen in Calculator:Smithing). The data input is as easy as listing the methods like on Module:Skill_calc/Crafting/data. I think it would be awesome if we could merge our efforts on the skill calculators. ʞooɔ 23:46, November 6, 2017 (UTC)

Skill_calc module

I'm doing the best I can, but this is the first time I've actually worked with Lua. So I can only do so much until I start having problems and have to stop :( - Talk DarkNITE Contrib 04:05, December 8, 2017 (UTC)
No worries, this module is my first attempt at LUA - I learned as I went. Now It's mostly just customizing everything for each of the major skill groups so that the elts line up appropriately.. That's the biggest hurdle, really. User:LDemonl/Signature 22:09, December 8, 2017 (UTC)

SKill calc data pages

Hey,

So were the icons not showing for 'Corrupted ore'? The code should default with using the Name as the icon. The icon field should only be used to override the icon if the name doesn't match the icon file. User:LDemonl/Signature 20:03, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

Ah.. well I fixed your if statement - you were looking at the item instead of the calculator settings for the skill. If you see any other calculators in that category that the if statement jacked you could probably just add it to the if statement... either way let me know if you find any others so I can change the logic. For the Construction data page, we might try to get away from adding material2 and making a whole bunch of exceptions in the code.. perhaps find a better in-line option instead? I'll look into it after work. The idea is to try to make the code as clean as possible and make it easier for other people who have never worked on it to figure out adding new features and data... so a lot of it will end up needing cleaned up and consolidated anyway. I have the material2 there because there's 4 Furniture items that use both 1 material that can be bought on the GE (Oak plank) and 3 that can't (Basic, Detailed, Intricate, and Profound decorative pieces).
