A vine platform is a platform found on the middle and upper levels of Runespan and is used to cross between islands. It requires a water, earth, and nature rune to use, along with level 44 Runecrafting. Runes are not consumed when moving from a small island to a larger one. Moving between who similarly sized islands will consume runes in both directions, as will moving from a larger island to a smaller one. This is a measure to prevent players from getting stuck on dead end floating islands.
When using the vine platform, the player walks across natural, plantlike stepping stones.
