Wimpy feathers are dropped by wimpy birds, which are found in Oo'glog during and after the As a First Resort quest. Catching wimpy birds requires level 39 Hunter and provides 167 experience. The player must use a bird snare and must be holding smouldering tansymum to lure them.
Wimpy feathers can be used to fletch arrows. Unlike other coloured feathers, these cannot be used to make feather headdresses.
They are also used with a clean wergali herb and a vial of water to make Fletching potions at level 58 Herblore, providing 132 experience.
30 and 118 wimpy feathers are a possible reward from small and large Herblore crates respectively, which were originally available from the Squeal of Fortune and Treasure Hunter.
