A wisp

Wisps are residual life energy from the Anima Mundi, created by the remnants of Guthix's power. They are found in colonies around Gielinor, with the first one being located near the Lumbridge crater.

Divine energy, the main resource for the Divination skill, is gathered from wisps. They also release fragments of Guthix's memories, which can be returned to the Anima Mundi in return for experience.

Regular wisps spawn frequently around their respective colony, and give a chance of gaining one regular or enriched memory per harvest.

An enriched wisp spawns approximately once per 20 minutes in every location, and provides only enriched memories, although it is possible to only receive energy from a single harvest. Every site has 3 different enriched wisp spawns. Enriched wisps' duration are lengthened every time a player starts harvesting from it with at least one memory in their inventory, which is absorbed. If the player does not have any memories in their inventory, they could simply start harvesting the enriched wisp, click the ground to interrupt harvesting, then re-harvest to gain the bonus duration, which is faster than finding another wisp. An enriched wisp spring also converts regular memories into enriched memories once the player's inventory has been filled.

Enriched wisps also seem to stay open longer directly proportional to the number of memories the player who opens the wisp already has in their inventory. If you fill your inventory with memories while harvesting, you can still harvest from an enriched spring and any non-enriched memories in your inventory will be replaced by the enriched ones with the regular XP gain.

If only one player harvests from it, ~3-14 memories can be expected from one enriched wisp. Memories from other tiers work. However, there is a cap to how many players can extend one enriched wisp's timer.

For unknown reasons, a wisp colony may sometimes line up at one edge of the area, and are only "unlocked" from the position when a player comes near. Notable wisps that do this include glowing and brilliant wisps, which line up on the north side, radiant wisps that line up on the east side, and luminous wisps that line up on the west side.
