Wyvern bones are dropped by wyverns and skeletal wyverns, very dangerous monsters found in the Asgarnian Ice Caves. Wyvern bones give 50 Prayer experience when buried, 175 when used on a Gilded altar (with two lit incense burners), and 200 experience when used to worship the Ectofuntus.

Wyvern bones can also be ground up into Wyvern bonemeal at the Ectofuntus and used to make Super prayer potions.

Players can quite rarely receive Wyvern bones as a reward from the Soul Wars minigame by selecting the Gamble option. Doing this might award a player with 16 Wyvern bones. These bones can also be looted from Zombie impling jars.

To go from 1-99 Prayer by only burying wyvern bones would take 260,688.6 bones and cost 4,329,522,912. If a gilded altar is used, it would take 74,482.5 bones and cost 1,237,013,664, and if the ectofuntus is used then 65,172.2 bones would be used at a cost of 1,082,393,184.

These are not commonly used to train prayer. This is because dragon bones give substantially more exp (72 base exp for dragon bones, compared to 50 base exp for wyvern bones). Currently, dragon bones cost 2,136 while wyvern bones cost 16,608.
