The Zombie Impling is the second highest level impling in RuneScape, succeeded only by the Kingly Impling and currently requires level 87 Hunter to catch. It can be caught with a butterfly net, sacred clay net, or bare hands (higher agility is a definite advantage). Zombie implings grant 412 xp if caught in Puro-Puro, or 585 xp if caught in RuneScape. When caught, it yields a Zombie impling jar.

Zombie Implings can be caught in the Impetuous Impulses minigame and can be found and caught, on rare occurrences, around the world of RuneScape. They were first hinted at in issue 43 of Postbag from the Hedge, in which the imp Zimberfizz casually mentioned that Nomad is "up to more mischief then a zombie impling in a butcher's shop."

Looting a Zombie impling is currently the only way to obtain a monkey skull, which can be used to make a new greegree that transforms the players into a blue-faced gorilla.

Loot

The loot of the Zombie implings are uncertain at this time, but are known to include:

Trivia

  • Most implings say 'Tee Hee!', however the Zombie impling says 'Braiiiiins!'.
  • The Zombie Impling's existence was hinted months before it actually came out in Postbag 43: "Be seein' you soon. Nomad's up to more mischief than a zombie impling in a butchers. Zimberfizz"
  • Even though the Zombie impling requires 87 hunter to catch, it spawns more often than most high level implings. This might be due to the low value of its rewards.
  • Zombie implings seem to have broken wings. As such, they fly differently than the other implings.
