大交易所的入口
大交易所位於維洛克西北方
大交易所(grand Exchange)，簡稱GE，位於維洛克西北方，是runescape裡一個很特別的交易系統，玩家可以在此買賣可交易的物品。玩家不需要尋找賣者或買者，也不需要叫賣，交易所的系統會自動幫你購買、賣出物品，且玩家不需要在此等待交易完成，交易狀況更新時玩家會收到訊息。 當交易完成，玩家會收到訊息，玩家可以到大交易所(或銀行)收取道具或金錢。免費玩家只有2個交易空間，付費玩家有6個交易空間能使用，同一時間內一個空間只能做一件交易。
NPC
位於大交易所的音樂家
在大交易所周圍有5名NPC能給予玩家關於物品目前的價位資訊。
- Farid Morrisane：提供礦石現在的交易價位。
- Relobo Blinyo：提供木頭現在的交易價位。
- Bob Barter：提供藥草現在的交易價位，同時他也能幫玩家處理藥水的容量問題。
- Murky Matt：提供符石現在的交易價位。同時也能幫玩家處理充能的問題。
- Hofuthand：提供武器或裝備現在的交易價位。
物品套組
大部分的裝備和矮人多重砲可以集結成套組(Set)以節省空間。套組只會佔物品欄的空間1格，但是玩家無法將套組內的裝備穿上，套組必須經由大交易所的服務員拆封取出裝備，服務員能夠幫玩家製成或拆封套組，製成或拆楓的次數不受限制，也不需要任何費用。 玩家右擊套組能夠選擇摧毀(destroy)，這種方法不能夠拆封套組。
價格變動
NPC提供的物品價位表，圖中的方塊型物品即為套組。
價位變動的方式由供给和需求定律改變
- 如果一個物品為高供給、低需求，價位會下降。
- 如果一個物品為低供給、高需求，價位會提高。
- 如果一個物品的供給和需求能匹配，價位維持不變。
Jagex從未公佈過大交易所的確切定價算法，雖然有些許合理的猜測。透過供給和需求法則，物品的價位更動大概是根據最近的交易價位及數量的更新。對於某些交易量不高的物品，jagex有權介入並自行設定物品的價位，前提是該價位受到有規模性的價位操控行為。
交易技巧
- 世界(即伺服器)1以及2很適合玩家進行1對1交易(不使用GE)，特別是有些較稀有的道具。
- 交易的完成是以時間來排序，玩家可以考慮提早提交貿易信息。
- 所有完成的貿易價位以較早提出信息的價位為準。換句話說，當買家設定的價位比賣家的價位高時，以信息提交時間較早的為準，玩家也可以考慮晚點提交貿易信息(有利有弊)
- 議價，在貿易信息提交後，等待你的信息是否有別人的貿易信息接受，並以此做根據來變動價格。
- 操控價格是有可能的，所以要小心。 (見下方"價格操控"查看詳細說明)
- 購買物品時可以把目前價位增加5%以加快完成速度，同樣的，賣出物品時將物品的目前價位減少5%。

1. Potions have 3 different buy limits. (4) dose limit is 500, (3) dose is 1,000 and Saradomin Brew (all doses) are 1,000 due to a hidden update.
2. Some items in the same set share the same restriction, i.e. maximum of 51 bronze platebodies and 49 bronze platelegs every 4 hours. This includes treasure trail sets. This also includes some special items (e.g. gloves of silence). Different qualities of armour/weapons count towards different limits (a player can buy 100 mithril platebodies and still buy rune sq shields) and armour and weapons count for different limits as well (a player can buy 100 mithril platebodies and still buy 100 mithril warhammers).
3. Slayer items including abyssal whip, amulets of ranging, black masks, brine sabres, draconic visages, dark bows, focus sights, granite items, hexcrests, staves of light and metal boots. Whip vines have a buy limit of 2.
4. Uncut and cut diamonds have a limit of 500 pieces each. Uncut and cut dragonstones have a limit of 100.
5. Glory amulet has a buy limit of 100 items.
6. Each individual piece of the Nex gears, Virtus, Pernix, Torva, and Zaryte bow, have a buy limit of 2. Items of the same set don't share the same restrictions, so for example one can buy 2 Virtus robe tops and 2 virtus robe bottoms in the same 4 hour period.
Prior to the Wilderness and Free Trade Update, there was a four hour cooling off period before one can sell an item they have recently bought. The fact that players can sell any number of the same item at the same time remains unchanged.
價位操控
大部分的價位操控(Price manipulation)都是以欺騙或脅迫達成，同時這也是被禁止的，價位操控主要有2個主類型和幾個子類型，歸類不同的原因是因為操作的手法不同(也因此有不同的解決方案)。 2個主類型的手法分為公開操控(disclosure-based manipulation)和貿易手段(trade-based manipulation)。
公開操控
公開操控主要是有人公開虛假或是具誤導性的訊息，進而影響物品的價格即成交量，這種公開操控的行為是一種詐欺行為。
